Chappelle has definitely passed his prime. He's like LeBron in a way; because of his experience he can masterfully dictate a room but his material isn't as explosive and shocking as it used to be.

Chappelle had a great bit in his latest about a lady saying he was a misogynist. He politely replied his 'art', and that is what comedy is in the end, was not coming from a misogynistic place. She continued and he said ' STFU I will murder you. Nobody is around."

And I have to respect that. That is comedy.

Chestnut Man was great. I thought 1-5 it got better with every episode. Finale was fine minus a few eye roll moments.

Yeah it was cringy, and I'd be surprised if anyone with English as a first language was involved in the scripting for those characters. Definitely detracted from the show for me which was a shame. It was still great overall though - 8/10.

However I feel like an idiot for pronouncing it "Treem" in my head until I actually listened to the intro song.

watched Squid Game was ok nothing great - think the dub ruined it, some of the thing the characters were saying to each other didn't make sense at all , in fact its like someone watched it who doesn't understand korean? same as myself and just guessed what people "might" be saying to other.

Idea was good i think a 2hr film remake will happen (american)

I'm trying to watch Only Murders in the Building and Selena Gomez has no acting ability at all. I thought it was the character at first, but every scene is the same deadpan robot. Just cringing now when she delivers her lines.

Watched Cry Macho last night on HBOMax just because it's going away soon. Pretty awful. I hope that Clint hangs it up after this one and rides off into the sunset. The child actor was really terrible. The rooster played a good character, at least until it turned into a guard dog, lol.

Acapulco on Apple TV just came out with two episodes. If you liked Red Oaks, this show is similar, set in a mexican resort in 1984.

That's pretty much my issue with subtitles in general. At least with streaming, I can use the rewind to catch up - obviously couldn't watch anything with subtitles in a theater.

episode 6 of Squid Game was brutal

And why is everyone picking on Selena Gomez? I think she's perfectly fine. Her character is closed off, hence the delivery.
