On a downer note, as you might imagine the situation with my wife's best friend's family is an absolute disaster. If an infant dies in your home you're having a conversation with the police, for one. Imagine...that. And an autopsy. And finding a place to bury your child. Just beyond comprehension. It's a close-knit family, they've circled the wagons and are going through it together, but this is still very much potentially life-ruining for many of them. I think it's impossible to know how you'd react to an event like this, God willing none of us ever learn.

Lfs , I used to say "nothing scares me" . However I am scared ****less of that exact thing happening , its beyond thinkable.

Close friends of my family went through it. They pretty much just closed themselves off from everyone while they dealt with it. I imagine trying to deal with condolence messages from well-meaning friends would've been impossible to handle. Ugh.

Maybe at my age I should take it easy on myself but I might be the biggest computer putz on this forum. I had to have my hard drive replaced today. Thank goodness everything was recoverable off of the old one (I bought an external HD today). Tech guy says it'll be almost like new. So I plug it in and have to reset the Wifi, go to type in the password................and nothing happens. Try again and again. Then 'DOH'! I realize that I haven't plugged in the keyboard. Try again and again, nothing happens. Then I realize that I'd plugged in the iPod wire instead. But, ok, here I am, happy again.
