HIV reading an Ebola thread while eating? I don't know why this is funny.

Could you clarify? Is ebola not suited to spread through people traveling?

Edit: I guess you mean this:
Yeah basically. One article I read stated that the infections are from blood, vomit, and handling decomposing infected bodies, and that sweat and saliva are pretty much only theoretical modes of transmission. Another poster had it right, to developed countries, a mutating flu is a much scarier and more likely possibility than a severe Ebola outbreak.

Youtube has some wonderful cyst videos if one is so inclined.

Anti-biotic resistant TB or similar is where the danger is at.

Sierra Leone’s top Ebola doctor is dead from Ebola

I know I'm going to hell for it, but that headline made me laugh.

The perfect vector would be something:

1) Easily spread (LDO), airborne obviously being the worst.
2) Host is infectious long before symptoms show (so quarantines won't be effective)
3) Not immediately deadly, so the sick have longer to infect others
4) Symptoms easily mistaken for something more innocuous
5) Very deadly long/medium term

Ebola seems to be none of these. AIDS is all but #1. If something that is all 5 hits, we're ****ed.

Pretty sure airborne aids is already a thing. They called it dubstep.

Is Outbreak a better movie than Contagion? I enjoyed Contagion fwiw. It's been over a decade since I've watched Outbreak.

Yep, it's only a matter of time before 99% of us are left in the Superflu's wake!

Apparently, we almost had a catastrophic solar flare end our way of life 2 years ago.

it's no joke, a solar event large enough could knock out most of the transformers on the planet, and we only have the technology to make like 4 of those a year or something ridiculous.

while not planet ending, it could put our planet into enough chaos that it would take 100+ years to rebuild society to what it once was.

If we're going, might as well go with a certain flare.

Pretty sure one hit in the late 1800's as well that knocked out all 6 telegraph lines. Would have ****ed us up 70 years later

That's basically what I do to eliminate the entire world population in Pandemic/Plague Inc. When ****ing Madagascar doesn't stop me that is.

What if it's a satellite and everyone is short? Everyone just keeps folding so instead of sitting around you say "**** it" and open shove every hand to speed up the process.
