This is true.

But it tastes so good!

Not to sound like Henry17 or something, but I try to mitigate the risk by only going to expensive places. Usually, these places have cheaper lunch deals so it's not as baller as it seems

I mean.. it is. I just think most overrate the sort of benefits it brings. I always take one or two flights just out of convenience, same with going down any amount (I work on the 4th floor). I used to walk up 4 flights and still do on occasion, but now I just take the elevator. There's not enough in it for me.

Eating veggies would be better, but they just don't taste as good IMO. Carrots are fine, but most other veggies aren't.
This is generally how I approach it. Fruits are like dessert to me, or a nice quick snack.. say a banana at work while I'm working. With meals it's always veggies veggies veggies.

Less true for me now, but it was even more so in summers growing up back east, as that was when all the good fruits were in season. Raspberry bushes in the back yard, blueberries, strawberries, and of course watermelon.

I really don't think so. Probably very small gains. They'd weigh the same and probably feel the same except for winded for the next couple of minutes after they take them.

Please just answer this question.

Is it possible to eat yourself fat from fruit?

If you answer a yes to this question, please bring an example of such a diet, along with amounts.

Yo johnny appleseed, why don't you go make a post in health and fitness and ask whether fruits are as good as vegetables, and whether it's a good idea to start eating a whole bunch of fruit to make yourself healthier. I promise you the results will not be what you expect.

Simple:

Eat five meals a day of six large bananas.

Vantek, just give it up.

I heard (from a friend of a friend) that someone he knew gained like 15 lbs in a period of 3 months on an all-fruit diet. This was like 3 years ago....and he was a 100% red-blooded American.

Vantek, you are ******ed.

Given the frame of reference of the typical Western diet, replacing a lot of daily snacks with fruits is obviously a healthy option, and one that - if you are a bit overweight or more - will probably lead to that person losing weight.

It is basically impossible to get fat on green vegetables, since most of the carbs are fiber. This isn't the case with fruit. So stop saying "blah lah fruits = vegetables" since apparently you just got a ton of food pyramid catalogues in your mailbox in Denmark or wherever the nig you learned English.

Obviously if you just want to look "fairly fit," eating a lot of fruit is fine. I eat a ton because I like to. But it's certainly possible to be holding a little extra fat because you're eating too much fruit. There's a reason when people are cutting to insanely low levels of bodyfat, they are typically not going anywhere near a piece of fruit. Obviously more people on this forum are on the gobbo side of the spectrum and not in the Jay Cutler wing, but stop asserting ******ed absolutes and supporting them with personal anecdotes about your metabolism.

Nah, if you're taking the stairs regularly, you'll at least get in enough shape to take the stairs regularly. It may not be a major improvement, but everything has to start somewhere.

It depends where you live... obviously I'm not gonna eat sushi out of lake michigan, but when you're in vegas, at a nice sushi restaurant and the fish has been overnighted from off the coast of japan, and caught less than a day ago, there is absolutely nothing to worry about.
