Am I reading this right in that its claiming cannabis to be as addictive as amphetamines?

Well, the data that I am looking at has cannabis at a score of 1.51 and amph at 1.67, so that might be a label overlap issue on the graph.


With the caveat that I am far from knowledgeable about drugs: they still seem way way closer than I'd have thought.

I wonder how they assess physical harm. Based on the chart, I'm sure they're taking all the aspects of addiction into account -- needle sharing, what the drugs are cut with, etc.

Theoretically, pure heroin dosed correctly and injected is harmless. Many of the other drugs on the chart are harmful no matter their purity, quantity or means of delivery. In the real world though, it's easy to see how heroin can be the most destructive.

Source? Pretty sure it ****s with your heart, liver, and circulatory system. Maybe a one time hit isn't dangerous. I'd have a hard time believing long term use even with proper dosages and completely pure heroin will not cause serious negative effects. Look at other drugs such as alcohol, which end up destroying the liver.

There are alot of very smart people who want to get high. There are also alot of very smart people who want to make money off of those who want to get high.

Probably something like this:

Does it look like [drug x]? Yes.
Is it cheap? Yes.
Does it hurt the user? Who gives a ****, use it.

It's more like,

"Hey, you got any X?"

"No, but I have some Y?"

"Got any Z?"

As stated earlier in the thread, there is no need for dealers, because the stuff is very easy to do by yourself. As for the recipe, it is spread through the web and by word of mouth.

This is pretty bizarre. Is it really that much harder to avoid clicking the spoiler than it is to click a link? Just man up and look at it, it's fascinating and you shouldn't hide from something that's really out there. Grow a pair.

While I appreciate that this supports my argument, that graph is just plain idiotic, based on the research I've done into those two things specifically for weed, alcohol, tobacco, lsd, ecstasy, heroin, and cocaine (hint: weed and lsd are ok, alcohol is ok if used correctly, everything else is ****ed).

Codeine is already scheduled in the US. In some countries it's available OTC in small doses in cough medicine or with tylenol.

Credibility for this goes out the window when solvents are scored so low on physical harm relative to everything else. Unless this represents everything associated with the use of a given drug (ie. risk of HIV, Hep, etc. from injecting heroin) and not just the risk of using the drug itself that is.

Actually, regardless of what it supposedly represents it's likely to be complete BS because they list '"street methadone" which leads me to believe it's put out by someone with a political agenda and not based on any real objective scientific data. Methadone taken in a clinic is obviously the same as methadone bought/sold on the street. You can literally buy a dose off any addict looking to score real heroin just the same as you'd get it dispensed at a clinic/pharm. So the concept of "street methadone" is pretty absurd.
