But aren't they paying me the money? "You've received a final value fee credit". It'd be nice if they wrote in English.
06-03-2014 , 11:58 AM
I think it means they took their cut from you when you sold it, and now that you didn't actually sell it, they're giving you their commission back.
06-03-2014 , 11:59 AM
Oh, got you, thanks. Nice of them to take so long doing it.
06-03-2014 , 12:02 PM
yeah, what gregorio said. Yeah, ebay does everything pretty much on the side of the buyer, so its huge pain as a seller when **** doesnt work as its supposed to.

You can send a second chance offer to the next highest bidder if it was an auction. If it was a fixed price item, just relist it.
06-03-2014 , 12:32 PM
It's been ages now, I'll just relist it as that takes one press of a button but talking to another person takes looooads

Edit: ebay also continually take down one listing I made because they say it's counterfeit. It's a scarf, and I've added three pictures of it because how many angles of a scarf can you make? I have now re-listed it with the story of how I have it, in an effort to demonstrate its authenticity.

Quote:
This is not counterfeit.

One of my neighbours worked for Burberry. In their January sale, he said he'd get me something as a gift. He gave me this scarf. I am not really a Burberry scarf kind of person and it's not really Burberry scarf kind of weather, and now he has moved out, so now I am selling it.

I assume that the reason the label has been highlighted in red marker is that it was part of the sale.

The reason my neighbour bought me a scarf was because he was going through a divorce and I was nice to him (I am, I should point out, male).

He also once got sent home from work. He came round my house and I offered him a beer, whereupon he told me he was high on strange drugs that he was taking for stress. That was a slightly fraught conversation, as giving alcohol to someone high on strange drugs is often a bad idea. If it helps paint the ambience, he was wearing only a bathrobe at the time. This is not a normal situation for me.

I trust this is sufficient to explain why I have an authentic Burberry scarf, no receipt, and a desire to sell it.

I will trade you three AA batteries for the scarf.

Sciolist,

haha, that item description is awesome How much are burberry scarfs new?

oh yeah, I forgot about the second chance offer, im my experience tho hardly anyone accepts them which is pretty annoying. I guess lots of people overbid and then are glad when they didnt win.

You should trade the scarf for a Burberry cap, those are quite the fashion statement.

And I agree with kioshk, that's pretty good 27!

http://uk.burberry.com/linen-flat-cap-p39170521 is £250! £TWO FIFTY! If I met anyone who spent £250 on that, I think I'd have to punch them, on principle. On the other hand, the scarf I am trying to sell is £335:

Apparently he bought it for £30. If he actually paid anything like £335 for it, I am now scared of him and glad he's moved out.

I was teasing, where I lived, Burberry caps had a rep, lol. Plus, I'm way too old to wear anything like that. (Well, maybe a real posh one...)

Someone with photoshop skills please put jmakin's face on Cap'n Crunch. And make sure you change the "C" to a "J."
06-03-2014 , 01:38 PM
PGUK: How much did you weigh?

j: Awesome, congrats! (on the captaining, not the puking)

Don't worry, I knew you were joking and was not threatening to punch you. I'm scared of you.

it's not really Burberry scarf
I know nothing about eBay, but I don't think this sentence could be helping your case very much.
06-03-2014 , 04:01 PM
Good job it wasn't a sentence then

Had anyone ever seen a runaway truck ramp utilized? I was thinking yesterday that I'd really like to see that.
