Is it against etiquette to get vintage jeans/trousers tailored? Does that ruin the "vintage" of it?

Also, I am going to assume he hasn't got the clothes tailored properly because they are for sale and the buyer would be the one doing that.

Hello Diddy, Although the fashion in the seventies was to have a wider necktie, there were still many manufactures that still made the skinny neckties that were popular in the late fifties and sixties. It is quite possible that your father still had neckties from this time, after all, things were made much better back then.

Hello again Rusemandingo, They are, they raise about an inch to an inch and a half. Standing they sit at a single break. I am slightly odd sized and my perfect pant fit would be a 35x31.. unfortunately I am not at a place in my life where I can get everything to fit perfectly.

-- On a side note, I took notice that several of you are mentioning hashtags. In the world of Twitter and Instagram, hashtags are an essential marketing tool for businesses. Such as this forum they allow anyone in the world to search what they are looking for on a single platform. So if someone is looking for menswear, mens fashion, tie clips or collar bars, I want those individuals to be able to find me and my business. I am well aware that they can be quite annoying at times, but the benefit greatly out weights the negative.

Lastly, I agree with you CalledDownLight, but today I received the next best thing and that was a face to face interaction, handshake, and apology from Miajag. While I hoped for a little sit down and cup of coffee (which I offered) over a little conversation, Miajag was on the run... Perhaps next time Miajag, or even an ice cold Evo, on us.
