I live in Colorado and I can legally grow 6 plants but I know nothing. I got my hands on 6 seeds and I want to turn them into marijuana. Don't ask me what strain they are.

I'm wondering if it's that easy. I don't have to hide it so I can keep it by a window.

I'd think the nice thing about being in Colorado is that you can let somebody else do that **** for you. Now that I (in WA) don't have to feel any nerves (not that there were much before) about just meeting a dude in a parking lot to pick up a half I stopped considering growing anything.

There's obviously a wealth of information online, but my experience with the weed internet is that it's painfully corny, developed on geocities and only fills me with self loathing.

There are quite a few ads in Westword for grow stores, maybe you could pick up a book or two. I agree with Udummy about not getting scammed on the expensive grow equipment.

I gave up on the internet search. I'm sure there's some good stuff out there though.

do your research online imo

ive seen people grow it in their backyard and it came out pretty terrible but it was bud

ive seen full on grow operation with diffrent rooms for each stage, using custom soil + grow solutions, hydro setups, timed light exposure, climate control systems, etc and it was the bomb diggity.

also the plants in the hydro setup were 3-4x as big as the soiled plants

Damn, Tyler, I thought you would know all about this.

They're really hardy plants. Are you trying to grow quality or just **** around? I haven't smoked in a long time, but that hydro stuff is insane. Your seeds probably/might be ****. Try to get a clone, they're only like 10$.

More than likely your seeds will be male and you will yield nothing. Find a way to get clones and you'll 100% be on your way. If you don't want to spend tons on artificial lights, etc, then just put them outside as direct light is much better. Water, sun and at some point, you'll need to add nutrients to help with the yield. CO is like CA, so you'll have plenty of hydroponics stores around that will be able to answer your questions.

Just ****ing around. I got the seeds from a dispensary. I'm on the second story in an apartment complex so I can't put them outside.

if you have money to burn i think you can buy grow box/grow cabinents that are premade for indoor growing, then all youd need is probably some nutragrow or w/e

I don't want to burn any money. I'm looking to do this as cheaply as possible. Electricity is included in my rent if that helps.

Dids is right. Most of the people who are vocal in that online community dont know ****, or they are not up to date or they are shilling something. The people who do know ****, wont tell you anything because all the information is out there. There is just a **** load of crap to go through and for the longest time growing weed wasnt a science but just people going off their weird little experiments so there is a lot of false info too.

For the first six weeks all you will need is a few cfls. You will have to grow out the plants until they are sexually mature. Then you will know how many females you have. You need potting soil. You want to go 50/50 potting soil and perlite, but there is no reason to waste that on male plants so you just need potting soil and some basic veg and bloom nutrients. I would go chemical first, you dont want organics because you dont want to deal with bat and bird **** in an apartment.

Just basic 23 watt bulbs to start.
Use these and power strips. Even if you decide growing is not for you, you will have power strips and lightbulbs the rest of your life.

lol, I've been in NORML since the beginning and worked for many years to legalize, but haven't smoked (or eaten) in years. Most of my friends get theirs from the stores, but you still need the script until next year.

Do try to pick up a copy of "Kush", it's free all over downtown. It talks about the tech stuff of growing and strains. You do know that in the right settings the plants get very large, don't you? I have friends who are pro (legal) growers and some of their rooms are amazing.

Instead? Both IMO. Doubt the shrooms are legal though, so let's table that discussion for a different forum.

Nutrient schedule. Ive used Fox Farms.
http://www.420magazine.com/forums/fr...-tutorial.html

Nutrients is where people get burned. Someone will put 2 tablespoons of molasses in a gallon of water and give it a crazy name and a cool bottle and charge you 45 bucks for it. Its all bull****, you just need a veg a bloom and some unsulphered molasses. I even hesitated to include the nutrient schedule because on the fox farm schedule is a bunch of **** you dont need.

chances are they are male seeds and you will waste your time.

but if you wanna screw around put the seeds in moist paper towel until they germinate and then transfer them into soil and make sure they get light, warmth and nutrients
