It can't be real that 3 middle aged dudes had a jessica kirson hour viewing party.... lol. You got what you deserved.

But yea your post and her special is just more proof to me that crowd work clip culture has ruined stand up comedy... hopefully not for good though.

stravos and kirsten are painfully unfunny to me.

But many comics i do like just rave about them.

I wish more comedians had the guts to say "He/she is a great person and tries hard, but they aren't that funny,"

Patrice was that way, but he was just a hateful a-hole that occasionally said something funny.

Stavros can be hit or miss. He can tell an insanely funny joke one min and then miss on the next 2-3.

I still think Big Jay is the best crowd work comedian. The stuff he comes up with sometimes is next level.

The stuff I saw pre-special was quite good, but I'm so pissed at that comedy special that I've unfollowed her channel.

If people don't think this is funny then I guess I'll just have to admit I have a weird sense of humor. And most of the clips I saw before were pretty funny.

I think Dave was honoring Norm a bit with the CVS joke on Colbert the other night.

Starts at 1:49, couldn't figure out how to get it to start there.

wasn't the biggest fan of daniel tosh because i didn't like his delivery style -but i do like his humor

not amused at all by the intro, way too childish and with poor timing despite that i like the content

really love the idea of having your wife's gyno as your first guest - hence why giving this a shot right now

He was so freaking awkward in his first CCP special that I didn’t think he’d become as big as he did. His later stuff is really good! I’d love to see a new special from him.

jeez trying to follow Kim Congdon and saw she was going on Roseanne Barrs podcast so I tuned in.

Roseanne ain't right.

And its a boring crazy. Just ranting with a slur.

She has a slur, and claims to have Tourettes .

Actually made Kim sound boring, probably because Kim idolizes Roseanne so Kim wouldn't cut loose like she usually does on podcasts.

So boring I couldn't fall asleep, that's bad.

I've seen maybe half of these guys live, heavily favoring those active in the last 10 or 15 years, my list probably bro-dude generic (in no order and not spell checked):

Steven Wright
Chris Redd
Bill Burr
Dave Chappelle
George Carlin
Eddie Murphy of way back
Mitch Hedburg
Sam Kinison
John Oliver
John Mulaney
Bert Kreisher
Shane Gillis
Anthony Jezelnick
Jim Jefferies
Sebastian Maniscalco

There are sure to be glaring omissions from this list and I can't think of any women standups that would make it offhand, but that's probably because I never click on any since that horrible Amy Schumer special ages ago. My wife still irrationally angry that Amy claimed to be a size 6 this one time

Oh man Neil Hamburger

Faith No More sent him out as the opening act just to **** with people I'm pretty sure. He had exactly one good joke and told so horribly it somehow worked

Q: What do you get when you shove a penny up the ass of each member of SmashMouth? [I think it was Smashmouth]
A: Nickelback

It's possible that this guy was two levels above me and the rest of the crowd but Jesus

so i've never heard of jeff dunham in my life - like i've heard the name but it was always obscure and i couldn't tell you the first thing about him

he's absolutely beloved here in the ozarks

so i'm hanging out with some people and they start talking about bubba j, i have absolutely no idea what they are talking about and they are like "omg you need to watch jeff dunham"

low and behold, it's a ventriloquist act

while i can appreciate his talent, you'd have no idea he's voicing them and each one of his puppets has different accents and everything which idk much about ventriloquism but feels pretty impressive

but the comedy itself is not really there for me, it's more "humorist" stuff rather than jokes, just whimsical commentary rather than anything outright funny, ok the redneck character likes the sound that nascar trucks make, the audience is loving it but there's no real joke there, i don't get it, but everyone but me loves it

i've been to the house of 3 different people in the ozarks, one played jeff dunham for me because i hadn't seen it, one had his christmas special playing on tv when we showed up, the other started talking about jalapeno on a stick and i again had no clue he was referencing a jeff dunham bit - thankfull they did not air the show to make me see it but there was genuine talk about it but i finally convinced them everyone would have more fun if we continued to shoot skeet instead

that goober was in town just on Friday, I thought he was amusing the first time I saw him 20 years ago,but his folksy schtick got old fast.
Gotta admit his ventriloquist skills are good.

It's anti-comedy. In the early days no one got the act and he was constantly heckled, which was subtly encouraged. Over time more people got in on it and it has made the experience less enjoyable. Saw him back in October and he played to a full house (450) and it played like a normal stand up show. No heckling and people were laughing at the jokes. I also feel he's toned down the offensive nature of the jokes a bit.

New Chappelle is great. Comes out the gate swinging hard for quite a bit.

I was like "holy ****" after the first bit, then was underwhelmed the rest of the way.

I thoroughly enjoyed the cleverness but just not many lol moments

Everyone I know thought it was terrible, but they also thought his previous ones were terrible (and I enjoyed some of those). So I came into this one totally ready to love it.

Sorry, it was terrible. 15 minutes of good stuff, maybe.

This man is definitely in the "likes the smell of his own farts" phase of his comedy. He's now so far behind his peak and his peers it's stunning to me.

How can he not like the smell of his own farts. People talk about him like he’s a deity. Don’t get me wrong the Chapelle show is elite. About as good as sketch comedy gets.

I just really haven’t enjoyed any of his Netflix specials over the last ~5years.

Maybe I’m tainted because I despise Joe Rogan, and he definitely has pushed Chappelle into some type of god for his audience of idiots.
