Watched it and it was everything you can see already on YouTube over the last 2 years. And while a short clip is fine 1 hour of I'm a slut was boring. Not Schumer boring but 'please wait 5 years before your next special' boring.

I’ve seen Louis CK, Jerry Seinfeld, Dave Attell, Lisa Lampanelli, Jim Norton, Bill Burr, and worker with a million other comedians. Nobody, and it really isn’t even close imo, made me laugh more than when I saw Greg Giraldo. The one guy who I missed out on seeing was Patrice O’Neal. Anyone ever see him live?

DC > BB this time.

I thought the Comedy Central Roast was great.. everyone did at least reasonably well that I can remember. Blake Griffin did a great job.. especially for a non-comedian.

DC just seems to do better than most when he doesn't necessarily have great material. His last Netflix special was better though imo.

I listen to a lot of comedian podcasts and apparently a lot of jokes got canned that offended guests and the biggest one was Catelyn. People apparently had jokes about her killing that lady right after the transition and these jokes got booted as well as many other jokes. I'm guessing they were way more liberal back in the day cuz there is a line where the roasts were good and then just got lame.

It's sad but I'm guessing the offended culture is the biggest reason why the roasts went to crap.

The Bruce Jenner jokes that got cut were pretty funny from I’ve read. But yeah they started using too many celebrities for the roasters instead of actual comedians.

Ya that makes sense too. I looked at the Bruce Willis line up and was like WTF DO NOT WANT. At the same time they obviously have cut the balls of the show like when certain dead men were walking. Patrice and Giraldo would not be welcome in the current game and that's why it sucks habitually over anything else.

Also they weren't all friends at first, they were all comedians and ready for the game at first.

Any love for Theo Von? I've not actually seen any of his comedy, but as a podcast guest and host I think he's up there with Bill Burr and Joey Diaz as one of the most naturally funny people I've heard.
