I love how every single woman says he asked and she said yes and the one who said no said he didn't pressure her at all just accepted her refusal.

but ya I forgot that he was such a powerful force in the entertainment world back then that women had no choice but to give consent or they could never hope to have a career.

what a rapist, how dare he even consider trying to make a living again and support his daughters?

I came to ask about this. We watched the first 15 mins on Netflix last night and turned it off, just horrible. And we are BIG fans.

Does the netflix version get better? I actually thought they had to be using a laugh track. I was even stoned for it!

She's in the same group as Natasha Leggero, decent looking and mildy funny led them to success.

exactly what part is a gross take?

I didn't say he shouldn't have suffered the consequences he did and not lost all the deals he had etc but I'm sick of everyone lumping him in with harvey and saying he shouldn't be allowed to perform stand up ever again.

It's funny cuz when I heard Loui CK's scandal I just said "pretty standard in the comedian world." These are the same type of people that will throw piss or piss on another comedian or show their buttholes on camera during a live podcast. Hearing about dudes whipping out their dicks at the Comedy Store is pretty standard back in the day.

Normal people much be shocked constantly at what happens in the world. Personally I think this will light a fire under Louis' ass, his stand up was getting kind of weak and he was spread pretty thin with the show so I expect top notch stand up from him after this. Art is always fueled by pain so there's lots of kindling with this.

I haven't watched it yet. I assumed it was filmed as part of the Broadway run so it would be the same.

It's been almost a year since I saw it but I remember laughing a lot.

Gonna try to watch the special tomorrow.

I have heard some funny things about Louis CK but have never seen his standup act.

To me that's like saying you never seen Chris Rock, or Chappelle, or Bill Burr. I'd immediately assume you watch no standup at all. Then I'd ask if you own a tv and live in a place that runs electric and cable/internet out to your area.

the more specials = worse or lesser material than before is an interesting take I never thought about.

I think its overall good but I can see why some of you prolly got tired since A LOT of specials have aird the last 2years. as of wether or not quality has gotten down, im not sure.

I dont think there are a ton of guys liek seinfeld who have be reusing their material for yearss tho

If Louie releases his next special on his website directly (which he will have to since no stream service will pick it up) he is going to make mega bank again I reckon.

The problem of specials is not only money it directly generates it's much more about getting news viewers in his future shows.
Releasing a special on YouTube might be a better move at the moment.
That's why comedians are pushing podcasts so much atm.

All those streaming services are a bit too virtuous though to host anything by him I'm sure unless he promises to do a big apology bit in there

Getting $20million a special by Netflix isn't stupid. Podcasts are there to promote the live shows.

Under a Rock w/ Tig Notaro is cranking out weekly episodes again on youtube and they are funny.

Meh. Tig is old news and I've never found her funny.

The real story right now in comedy is the blowing up of one Mark Normand.

Troo dat.

His banter with the dude who s***s in shoes on the Tuesdays with Stories podcast is terrific.

He never will be completely mainstream, he's too non-pc.
