Again, like I said before, it has nothing to do with our baby being at a wedding. It's that this will be the only opportunity for a small handful of relatives who live in that area to meet him. As far as the wedding itself, it's important for my wife and me to be there because she is very close to that family. It's her brother, his wife, and their two daughters, one of whom is the bride. She's close enough with them that she's been asked to participate in the wedding.

I definitely haven't. I lately haven't been paying attention to Covid stats religiously like I had been a few months back and prior, so my intention in posting was to see if my assessment of my sitch was reasonable, but also how to factor this new Delta variant into it.

After having had 4 cancelled since March 2020, we're finally getting back on a cruise ship Thursday out of Galveston. Supposedly a minimum of 95% of passengers will be fully vaccinated with the other 5% or less made up of kids 12 & under or people with other exemptions, though I'm sure there will be those with fake vaccination documents.

At this point we're doing Vegas maskless, sporting events(Suns in 4!)maskless, and most every other activity maskless, so damn the difference I guess.

Well, we know the wedding is in Wisconsin, so that means it's a bunch of white boys dancing. I'm not sure how you could discern the difference between on and off beat.

That's why I own three cruise line stonks (at least until they get back over pre-covid levels). Cruise people are hardcore, totally willing to risk their lives to get back out there. Can't buy that kind of core customer base.

People boarded the Diamond Princess well after covid was moving around the world and China had to build field hospitals.

Hardcore cruise people were still eager to go even after the Diamond Princess blew up - with covid raging all over the world, well before the vaccine was available.

Unvaccinated people are going now - the governor of FL has even forbidden cruise lines from demanding vaccinations.

All this knowing cruise ships have always been notorious for spreading any bug that gets on board though their shared ventilation systems.

If that's not risking your life, I don't know what is. It's very tempting to invest in companies with that kind of loyalty, at least to a point.
