Yeah to me the large group size doesn't mean much as if one person has it in a typical group of 50 people - your odds are still low.

Yeah, I was just saying that if every Bible belt governor went on TV and said "no masks, no footbaw", usage would skyrocket.

I'm in the ATL airport right now, by my estimation it's:

25% no mask
40% mask worn incorrectly
35% don't want to die

Although I am flying the trashiest of the trash airlines (Frontier) so that may be affecting the numbers. Def keeping the N95 sealed tight until I'm outside again.

If I had to power rank the denizens of my FB feed, the #1 person for "Covid is NBD, lockdown in CA is ridiculous waste of time" and the #1 person for "Masks don't prevent anything, something something CO2 levels" are a dentist and a nurse respectively. Pretty discouraging, really.

is this conventional wisdom? i haven't seen any convincing arguments that LA has 10x known cases.

aiui tests are readily available and people are getting tested when they have symptoms.

maybe that 10x number is from back when people couldn't get tested?

also, if 10x people have it, that would mean a much lower mortality and hospitalization rate

I don't regularly listen to him but love the ones that have interesting people on interesting topics. He's like the only person who will give long winded interviews to very smart and important to hear people and just lets them talk. I don't think there really exists this mob of droolers slurping up everything he says as if people tune in for his opinion on things.

I wear my mask on in the car to trigger the MAGA snowflakes. Seriously though there should be a police officer at each large grocery store denying entry to maskless.

It shouldn’t be the responsibility of 20 year old grocery store clerks to deal with these leeches.

i mean ive seen hundreds of his episodes and NEVER downloaded a single pod.

every single one of his ive watched on youtube, so i wouldnt even count as one unique number even though ive filled hundreds of counts.

i imagine theres tons of ppl like me. sure it may not be hundreds of millions unique, but its def way higher than 11 mil lol.
