Joe Rogan says that sunlight/UV light kill this virus instantly. He says it was created in a lab.

He also mocked people wearing masks for months. I can’t stand him or his podcast anymore.

He has created so many moronic Wolly Mammoths. Joe Rogan & Wolly can both go **** a stool.

I think Joe Rogan is the second most influential person in this country - or at least among males he is. Dude has done so much damage wrt to covid.

I find this extremely difficult to believe.

Rogan's influence is insane. The thing is he talks out of his ass a lot, and gives platforms to stupid people.

I can understand being upset with the California mask mandate though. If you just stepped outside, they wanted you to be wearing a mask.

But this is hilarious.

Well, if she lives in the Spokane suburbs it could be like a 20 minute drive. People do that for booze all the time in the Midwest.

I guess I can understand the callous selfishness that would let a minor inconvenience potentially lead to the death of other people, but why anyone would choose to put his or her life at risk even .1% of the time for something so silly is incomprehensible to me.

Where’s DS when we need him to tell us all that statistics should be mandatory and that he is also the greatest teacher of statistics ever?

Don't RNs require a 4-year degree?

This chart shows the deaths the week they occurred vs when they were reported. The vast majority of deaths are older deaths from weeks or even months ago. It shows the deaths peaked in April and May and the current death numbers are trending down in a big way.

It is easy to find a totally competent, amazing nurse. It is also not hard to find one who cruised past 4 years of edu and landed a job. Let's just hope our next air traffic controller is not as unpredictable

Yeah the problem is he doesn't understand how science works at all. He thinks Bigfoot might be real, at least for a while he thought the moon landing never happened. Which would be fine if he was just some yambag and not a yambag with a gargantuan audience.

Taking the risk of being in a group of 50 people is likely to be highly correlated with previously being in a group...

I'm not buying that reported deaths now are from May and April. Where is the source on this?

These guys (Todd Lowden, Kyle Lamb and Ethical Skeptic - who all seem to self-promote and quote each other) all seem to operate under the same MO - put out very pretty, very confusing, sometimes official-looking graphs that covid-deniers can point to w/o understanding what they're saying. They get cagey when you ask for a source:

Follow that link and look at Table 2 and tell me where you can get death data that includes date of death and state.

I think these guys are completely FOS.

It doesn't show anything at all about current trends. It has no data at all for deaths from at least the last 8 days, which is when reported deaths started increasing again, and only incomplete data from the preceding weeks. You're confusing the timing of deaths reported to the CDC vs the timing of deaths reported on public dashboards.

Yeah I think I understand what these guys are doing now. They're playing games with the CDC's huge lag in reporting deaths, and confusing people into thinking states are reporting deaths in May as happening now (which they are not).

Coronavirus vaccine tracker: How close are we to a vaccine?

Very nice of Brazil to offer their completely unchecked covid spread for our clinical trials.

i ended up assuming ~0 of those 129k people go out, and that maybe 20k people have it and don't yet know, so they go around spreading it. (based on 2-5 days before symptoms show and 4-6 weeks of having covid)

so maybe 1 in 450 people have it who are out and walking around LA

i guess it doesn't matter that much though. stay the **** home lol
