yeah, no disrespect to any who've contributed, but would roll with a BDV or Malice steak vs pretty much any I've ever seen. bar legit that high!
I've posted a few good steaks, but am likely a bottom 10% chef here. I love Malice's posts... I'm just not a filet person. Dvo should open a restaurant.
^Oh baby coming in hot with that smoked picanha. Making me rethink my whole Christmas roast options. My grocery store use to always have some great prime ribeye roast for like $10 or less a pound pre Covid. Now it’s more than double. They do now have picanha, I might do this.
what a five picture sequence that was
closest my eyes have been to the taste buds in quite some while
now convinced including the fat cap on a round is the only way to do it
has anyone here tried cooking steak in an air fryer?
i think cooking a proper chicken breast may be the peak of its utility, although strips of seasoned steak make sense
from the opinion of a basket air fryer owner, i can't speak to those that look more like toaster ovens with an upper deck broiler.
I have cooked cheap steak in an air fryer. Not the greatest, but it worked and was easy. Agree that the best meal from an air fryer is chicken, but thighs -- by far -- although it's great for green beans, broccoli, cabbage, potato wedges, and hard "boiled" eggs.
i'm a big fan of potatoes, sweet potatoes, & chicken wings in the air fryer
also really like slicing apples straight through the core in horizontal thin strips, removing the seeds and stems and then air frying them until it's like fruit leather
I always thought a super souped up panini press with flat surfaces could be an interesting appliance to seat both sides quick, but I dunno… I’m sure it would be very dangerous and a waste of a press.
I’ve had an air fried steak and it was good enough but mostly because of the pre-cooking steps. I can’t imagine ever actually needing to use one for it though.
