Works for me because I wont be eating much.

Really hit a better groove last week so looking to put up some good scores.
Kinda disappointed because I missed waaay too many single pins. Two 7 pins, two 10 pins, couple 6-10s.

Still shot 172/181/211 on a 176 avg. Team lost all but one though.

side note: i hate bowling potlucks and end of year banquets. most places i've bowled it's a total rip off. my current league, they do a 50-50 all year and then the league secretary (who is married to the owner) makes like three plates of soggy roast beef and you get free pitchers of soda from the bar and they keep the money. f that

seems like there is no prize money in any of these gd leagues anymore either.

hah yeah, the team that won our league last year (we got 2nd) was named "Prize Fund Sucks" because our dumb league always votes to like evenly distribute money, so the only teams out of like 36 that actually make a profit are the top 3.

our 50/50 was split between 2 winners tonight but we usually get a pretty good spread of food, though the vast majority is brought by the league members.

It is stupid how the prize is voted on after the league has started. one summer league, the last place team got $360, which meant that out of the $9.60/player they put in to the prize fund each week, they got back $7.50 of it. My team name that year was Bowling for pennies.

it's not even the flat prize funds, in my league i think first (per half) for a three man team is like 200 bucks, and we pay 18 a week. sweep both halves and you don't even come out ahead. total rip off.

ugh posting in this thread is making me realize how much i hate the house i bowl in. i'm looking for a new league next season. wish i could bowl more than 1 night a week.

How much actually goes to the prize fund? We pay $18 in our league. 10.05/house, .40 sec. and 7.55 to the PF. The house fees goes up every year or 2, but the bowling fee doesn't so it keeps eating into the prize fund.

yeah i dunno exactly but it's in the same ballpark, 7 or 8 bucks.

i just remember bowling scratch leagues 10 years ago where first place was a pile of money. you'd make back your whole 20 bucks a week and then some. plus brackets and pots every week. sigh. those were the days.

225 251 208 on Tuesday house shot. My 5 man team shot 1141 scratch the second game. Lost the other two, both by ~30 pins each.

Most house leagues where I live have rather flat payouts at the end of the year. Even in big league (12+ teams), the first place team won't get much more than 75% of their money back.

There are some "big money" leagues, but those are dominated by house shot pros who only bowl on easy shots in houses they know they can bowl in. No respect for chumps like that.

539 on the 2012 European Men's Championship pattern (44ft, lower volume). 191, 158, 190. Left 5 splits, missed two single pins. Okay night, other than the middle game.

That's some nice bowling pipes, you beat my groups all time high game twice and second best every game lol.

I didn't get a chance this week to pick up a spare ball, but I'm here to post for some run-good tonight. I see it's worked for others, maybe I can crack 200 a couple more times.

You guys are beasts....nice job.

I had a 300 game back when I was 17 and averaging 200 but I suck now. I'm currently averaging about 170 on a THS.

Anyway, anyone see the Storm Hy-Road first hand? My Anaconda is on it's last legs and I need a new ball. I prefer reactive pearls. Thanks.
