total costs to me unknown yet since who knows who touched me or said hello while i was knocked out undergoing the procedure and if they are in network or not

Mega emergency hospital bill is my worst nightmare, would be soooooooo butthurt about it. Hope all is well Billda and also hope you don't get stuck paying more than 10%.

considering my max out of pocket is $7100 in network and $20k out of network, i'm just hoping it's all in network. but yeah, sick beat.

Emergency stuff like this where you can't coordinate coverage in your network probably goes a long way as to why 66.5% of US bankruptcies are related to medical bills.

My favorite costly error has to be when an ambulance long-hauled me. They double backed and returned to where I was starting from, saying either they had forgotten something or needed more fuel.

Wtf that's ridiculous. How much did that add to the bill?

I'm not totally sure. Their bill was around $1k or 2k, I looked at some invoice and it had the excess fuel listed in plain site, something like 50% extra fuel cost. Tbh it's kind of miraculous that I remember anything from that night.

A few weeks ago, I stood up and punctured my scalp on a rounded end of a screw sticking out of the light hanging over my dining table. The table wasn't in its proper position as mopping was taking place.


So, bleeding from my head, my old lady drives me to the nearby..... medical place. Not a hospital, idk what you would call it.


Anyways, they clean my head and give me a tetanus shot. Get to reception, and she says its $1200. (Even to the cent). I kind of balk as I have no intention of paying that. So she starts to talk installments. Just then another lady walks up, says stuff to the receptionist, now its $225 out the door. So she just made up 1200 or what? Because she sure as **** would have taken my 1200. I paid the 225 and left.

A week ago, I get a bill from them, showing the charges as $2,5xx.xx. a deduction of some randon $2,0xx.xx number, my 225, and I still owe $3xx.xx.

What a bunch of ****ing bullshit. Surely will not go in the future unless I'm on the brink of death.


That said, 2.5 years ago when I was in the car accident, my uninsured ass ran up a bill of 90k, and they gave me state insurance after the fact and I didn't pay a cent.
