In the winter of 2010/2011 we had lots of snow and I was pushing lots of girls out of parking spots at the time.

In some way, yes. Modern cars just don't stall and sputter anymore. They either start or they don't (mostly because the battery is down).
So, if a girls car won't start, she knows something is wrong and will call for help. In the past, it was normal that cars are hard to start. It used to be a struggle. Cars had a choke. So the girls would try over and over to get it going.
