Could have sworn you were going to end the herpes joke by saying something about how having a hair piece probably kills your chances more than herpes anyway.

Decent. Nothing remarkable, but stage presence was good! Though illoyeen was worst joke, imo, mainly because the time to funny ratio was too long. Shorten it and it could be decent imo. I would drop the #blessed, or whatever.

I thought it was really good accept when you were trying to start another joke before the laughs and applause stopped, and I thought this was a tenpo thing, but I guess that was due to the time limit.

I don't hate trying to speed up the tempo a bit when you're killkng instead of basking in the glow of a good response from the crowd.

Dr. Spaceman,

Next-worst case scenario: sting the wwe wrestler! <rimshot>

Re: the voice thing, one thing I've noticed observing even some generally mellow delivery comedians is how much emotion/inflection/excitement they project at certain moments. My favorite comedians manage to pull that off without getting all Dane Cook about it.

Thanks. I'll PM you. Don't want to hijack your thread.

Do you have any other big gigs planned yet? Hopefully this appearance will net you some more opportunities.

This guy 's just pissed cuz he's stuck plugging the 80%.
i think he was right. it wasn't funny at all and thought the starbucks thing went on way too long.the way he handled the heckler could be seen from a while away.the audience did love it thought.
the shark week joke was awful.

i thought the black women being comfortable with their bodies started out funny, and the math thing at the end was good

80% of the population is undateable, tho.

The fat women joke sounded similar to a Chris Rock riff about fat black women.

they shape how you see reality and saying someone is undateable is pretty damning.

I don't have any big gigs planned yet, but some nice things have already happened in the last 5 days:

-I was contacted by the manager of a chain of comedy clubs who loved the set and wants to book me for his clubs.

-I was passed at a club in NYC

-I was booked for a show in NYC that has a lot of buzz and big time guests regularly

-I was offered by a headliner who was on my show to feature for him on some of his road gigs

-I was given a nice, albeit small, blurb by well-known comedy writer Jeffrey Gurian: "Also very funny"

As far as the comments that criticize my material, I appreciate the honesty, although it's tough to hear that such and such joke was "awful" or "a train wreck." That seems pretty harsh. These aren't jokes I just scribbled out and tried at an open mic. These are things I've worked on for months or years, and included because they consistently do very well, just as they did on this night. If a joke seemed to offend the crowd because you heard some groans, it doesn't mean that it offends most crowds, and keep in mind that the audience mics were placed in just a few areas and one was right above the lady who heckled me (which is why you could actually hear her comment on the tape). The response in the room was overwhelmingly positive on that joke. Anyway, you all have the right to your opinions and that's fine. So if you want to pick apart my set, go ahead, and if you want to ask me questions about the experience then I'll answer those.

I'm not being a hater for the sake of it, but you appear to have a bunch of people either easily pleased or yes-men giving you props itt. I didn't find any of it funny, sorry. I get that American audiences tend to give an easier ride than english, and maybe it's partly that I don't watch much that's on a lower level than Louis CK, but I felt you would benefit from a dissenting voice that isn't just building you up for the sake of 'yay tell everyone they're amazing'. I'm sure you weren't planning on giving up what sounds like a great day job, but just in case, don't.

it seems pretty mixed and he didn't sound like a grumpy nit at all.he just didn't find it funny. i thought a few jokes weren't funny at all, a few were and the audience laughed like crazy at the call back joke that was extremely telegraphed so while I didn't like it he definitely got what he wanted out of it.

overall not great and not terrible. i wouldnt pay to see him but i wouldnt change the channel if he came on either. still better than a lot of the people i've seen on tv doing standup.
