You understand that date is in the future, right? I doubt anyone is likely to have seen a developer or prototype in the wild, prerelease.

I'm definitely getting the OnePlus One.

My G2 died on me and I'm using an S5 but don't love it. Plan on returning it within 14 day period

I'd never heard of the OnePlus One until this thread, does look pretty cool. Interesting article here. Unfortunately, it's GSM only so no Verizon (or Sprint). Also even if it was on Verizon, I'd be concerned about reliability and build quality given that it's a company I've never heard of. Are they brand new or do they have experience with similar devices? What happens if it breaks under warranty, how is that handled?

My S3 is holding up admirably but given that I'll need to pay full price to keep my unlimited LTE on Verizon, it doesn't really matter if I upgrade early. I do want to upgrade given that I'm over Touchwiz but have camera and reception issues thanks to running Cyanogenmod. I'm particularly interested in the next Nexus and Moto X given their cheaper full-price cost and (near) stock software, though I'm not too optimistic about the next Nexus being on Verizon.

Also those might not come out until fall, which is a long time to wait. Maybe I could pick up a Moto X to tide me over until then. Buy a Moto X for ~$220, sell my S3 for ~$80, sell my Moto X in the fall for ~$150 means I break even basically. Hmm...

It's from an exec from Oppo and apparently looks a lot like Oppo is just forking off and handling this whole thing(whispers that they are behind it versus it actually being an old exec).

In the Gmail app, I am having a problem with autocomplete suggestions in the to field.

I type Bob, and not only is my most frequently emailed Bob not on top of the list, he does not show up at all (even within the scrollable list) until I type the first letter of his last name.

This is absurd because in reality it isn't Bob, but rather my wife, and I'd prefer not to have to save her as like q so that I can email her more easily.

Any thoughts?

Did Gmail ever do that for you? Mine works like you expect.

It was a google media service that normally scans your phone for new music/pics/videos to upload and I had a corrupted file somewhere. I took all my media off the SD card and reformatted it, which solved my battery problem.

You could try looking at that and googling around to see if anyone else has this problem before replacing battery.
Thanks. Went to try this today, left it charging over night and woke up to it still at the same percentage it was when i left it. So i guess its a bad battery and will just buy one off amazon. Thanks for the help

I was clear on the date. I misspoke/typed, I did mean leaked photos/drawings, not an actual device.

Happened to me and I deleted all gmail/google cookies and that fixed it.

How can I milk this Verizon BOGO?

Get both phones, cancel the free phone line, pay fee, sell on eBay and profit, right?

I thought if you cancel early on any subsidy they charge you the difference between what you paid and the full price of the phone.

yesterday I ran my battery down to 5% using GPS and maps etc.

got to destination and had it on charge for about 2 mins before turning off wifi gps and then the entire phone. went out to dinner with phone in pocket switched off.

get back later and turn phone on at door because it had the door code saved, somehow battery is back up above 40%??

what is the explanation for this?

OnePlus One looks beautiful, great specs, $300 off contract. Looks like AT&T only for USA though.

I've been an iPad user for years, but am becoming tempted to make the switch to Android. Am I right in thinking that managing photos/music/movies between computer and tablet is as simple as drag and dropping? And media files can be played directly from a micro-SD card?

What tablet would you recommend to someone whose primary use for it will be watching movies? Preference for models with larger screen size (similar size to regular iPad), and a micro-SD slot.

yeah thats definitely one thing i like about my phone. plug it into computer once a month, drag files on to desktop folder, back up said folder, delete from phone. takes 5 minutes and will only get faster with the new generation of usb 3.0 phones.

Hope there is someone ITT that might be able to assist me.

I bought an ASUS tf700t just over 1 year ago. I took it on a 1 month road trip in an RV and I am sure it took some bumps but was in a case. I had no issues with it prior to leaving but now it reboots itself constantly or freezes when running an app.

I just got this message when it froze and rebooted itself while I was playing a game: Signature Mismatch
Booting Failed
Unrecoverable Bootloader error

Now, of course, I purchased the item April 2, 2013 and didn't get back to my apartment until April 10, 2014 so the warranty is expired. I read the ASUS warranty info and it says there is supposed to be a sticker on the back of the device stating how long the warranty is for (12M, 24M, 36M) but I did not find a sticker with any of those numbers on it.

Would rooting the device possibly fix this or should I bite the bullet and send it to ASUS for repair?

you have to check if they have a recovery mode, and maybe you can flash a new system

Yeah, I was impressed with the pricing, stats and if we are talking non-Nexus then CyanogenMod is awesome.

I didnt expect to upgrade from my Nexus 5 this year (other than battery, which is still decent, it is all the phone I want) but when my contract comes up for renewal in October if I can get the 1+1 for slightly more than a SIM only I might pick one up.

Somewhat related, ish, I havent sold my Note 2 so with it lying around doing nothing until I gift it to someone in a couple months I decided to try out the CyanogenMod installer. Holy crap it was easy and gave a new lease of life to the phone. It basically just did everything minus a couple screen taps and it only took around 20 minutes start to finish including installing both parts of the installer on my windows laptop and phone, setting it all up and it downloading and installing the ROM.

CM really did make ROMing easy.

Did that include rooting or were you rooted already? I've been thinking of trying CM on my note 2 lately, for no particular reason.
