Heh, interesting, I don't see those options either. I generally save all not-super-quick email responses for the PC though.

Lol I don't get the hype. All of my USB cables have a design on the side that's supposed to be up so I'm never plugging my phone in upside down. What am I missing?

Even acknowledging that, it's much easier to insert (cue Michael Scott)

Also, the dark.

True I got enough things to figure out how to insert in the dark (just ask your mother).

It takes me 3 tries on average to plug in my USB. I guess nobody ever plugs a USB in behind a piece of furniture, or in the dark, or behind a computer, or....

lol painting a cable. might as well just bring your typewriter everywhere

Though if the nail polish dot was raised a bit then you could feel the difference. Which makes me wonder why the cable people didn't make the cable with something more tactile. Mine has an etched logo but it's hard to feel.

Galaxy S7 pics got leaked today. Is it just me or has the Galaxy S become the souped up Honda civic the Asian guy down the street drives. Ever since the edge got implemented with the S6 its too flashy rather than looking sleek. I think they overcorrected from the hate the S5 took for looking too cheap.

Note 4 might be my last Samsung for a while, both my note 2 and note 4 randomly rebooted and were slow at times etc etc. Got an Xperia z3 tab which runs perfectly every time so could go sony next time.

Agree. Love/hate with my Note 4 but I think there's better. Turns out I basically never use features I thought I'd use like expandable storage or removable battery (except when the battery gets screwed up and starts just shutting off from 45% - which obviously isn't a perk) so I will probably look elsewhere.

Thinking about getting a Nexus 6p, but I'm a little iffy on having to throw out all my charging cables. Is USB-C supposed to be a new standard? Or is it just going to be used by a few phones?

This isn't apple hoping to sell you $25 cables. Usb c is huge and the possibilities are virtually endless. How about being able to send both power and data to a monitor from a single Cable?

USB a came out in 96 or something, they don't make big changes like this often.

But it's going to be a while before we see full takeover imo. For example there are zero mice or keyboards they have type c plugs, and I'm not even sure if there are digital cameras out there yet.

I've only seen phones and flash drives.

Nice, I've literally never heard a non-amazing review about a Sony phone...

Yea same - expandable storage and removable battery was a big part of why I got the G4, but I don't miss them in the slightest.

Yea. As KP said who knows when it'll become mainstream, but I don't think getting USB-C cables is a bad investment by any means.

FWIW I have the 6P and it's unbelievable.

Do some reading on usb-c cables if you buy any aftermarket. Apparently a lot of them are not managing the amperage correctly and are breaking the cables/phones, or something. IANA expert on this topic.

The leaks about the s7 did nothing for me, and i generally like Samsung devices after three phones and a tablet from them.

The phone I'm most excited about this half of the year is weirdly the budget moto g. Though the new lg with the slot thing is interesting as an almost certainly useless gimmick.

If the g gets turbo charge, a full hd screen and a 32gb option (it surely will have a microsd slot too) for roughly the same price its at now its going to be pretty awesome.

My gs5 is getting really second hand with a power button that sometimes doesn't work but the only thing that doesnt match what i need is its 16gb of storage.

The chip its all but certainly getting can handle quick charge (turbo charge as moto calls it). There is no reason to leave it out as a feature.

No idea about screen and memory but the screen they will have to increase to full hd just to stay competitive even at that price point against the Oneplus x and that new Huawei phone.

They are trending towards 32gb as an option and it makes sense for the western market, though the way marshmallow allows use of sd cards means they don't necessarily have to. I'd be surprised if there wasn't an option for 32gb at a premium though, bringing it in line with the Play, but leaving the 8gb option for developing markets.

Don't know about this, link?

Is "Full HD" 1440 or 1080? I don't understand why people care about 1440. I maintain you can't notice a difference at a huge cost to battery life. For ****'s sake the iPhone 6S+ is still rocking 1080, that tells you something.
