Scorecenter is embarrassing. The content delivery is terrible and notifications to interesting stories don't take you to the right story.

Ever since getting the galaxy, hangouts on my computer is super slow. Every time I get a new message on hangouts it scrolls back through all my history, I guess syncing the convo between the computer and phone. But it crawls and is really annoying.

Anyone else have this problem and is there a fix?

If they announce the Galaxy S5 on Feb. 24th like everyone expects will it be available from carriers soon after? I'm trying to ride out this S3 til it releases but it's falling apart and I have no insurance on it. I don't know how much longer it will last. The side button popped off last night lol.

I like dimming/blurring my wallpaper. Just found this:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...ik.roman.muzei

Fantastic!

Edit: oh wow, it's open and extensible.

My guess is late March/April. Ride it out. I busted my phone 2 months before the 4s came out and got a 4 instead. I still get mad just thinking about it.

Anyone have headphones issues w/ a Nexus? I have the N4.
After cycling thru crappy ones for several months I bucked up for a Klipche & an AudioTech. After a couple weeks they each work in only 1 ear. No such problem w/ my old ipod touch. WTF.

I'm going insane waiting for it. My Galaxy Nexus battery lasts like 4 hours at this point.

I've seen a lot of threads specifically talking about the no MMS issue with an N5, which is what my wife and I would be getting.

Thoughts? I'd really like to save ~$70/mo, but we send and receive picture messages regularly and don't want to be hassled with that.
gonna bump this once, because i'll be pulling the trigger on something this weekend. There has to be someone ITT that uses straight talk, right?

Take a look at TMo, too. Straight Talk doesn't have that much of a price advantage, and their network has been getting much better.

I have $20 Sony and Yamaha (workout) earbuds on my N4 and they work perfectly (going on 6+ months).

I've had my Galaxy S4 for a few months now, and suddenly this morning I get an SD Card Error (unsupported file type) and it wants to reformat my card. It obviously cannot access any data I had stored on the card (pictures, etc). I turned off phone, removed, re-inserted, and turned on, but no luck. I removed the card and tried to access it with a PC (using a full-size SD card adapter for the micro SD card) but the PC shows the same issue - unrecognized format, and wants to format it.

Is the data recoverable in any way or is it lost forever? I've got 9 year pictures on there that I was too stupid to back up.

Not sure how you use them but I have this issue because I wear headphones at work and in the summer when the phone isn't in my front jacket pocket and in my pants pocket the wires wear out at the plug from intense bending I assume. I use an extension that is like 6 inches long so that is in my pocket instead of the headphone jack itself. They are a few bucks on amazon.

Is it a SanDisk card? There are a ton of 1-star reviews on amazon for cards failing in the GS4

I'm take this opportunity to say thanks again to those in this thread who directed me to DropSync (though a recent Dropbox update gives better control over photo syncing, I think).

My phone auto syncs to Dropbox when on AC and wifi. Each night my pc then moves any pics from my Dropbox folder to a different one so I don't have any db space concerns. I also backup that location nightly so I can delete pics from my phone at will and still have two copies. FWIW I use SyncBack for the stuff on my pc, and get emails of the log files. It's all seamless once you get past the initial setup.

For extra credit I run plex media server on my pc so I can view all my pics remotely.

Twitter is really starting to get on my nerves. I went to bed with a full battery last night (brand new nexus 5) and luckily I woke up at about 5 am to use the bathroom. I checked my phone for the time and it was battery-dead. So I plugged it in and found that twitter and google calender both used up ~40% of my battery each overnight. I've been trying to remember to shut-down twitter manually after I use it (I don't use it much to begin with), but I forgot last night. At this rate, I just know it's going to cause me to miss an important alarm clock one day.

Unfortunately, twitter isn't giving out any more authentication codes at the time, so I can't switch to any other clients.

I just use the stock google app to back up my photos. It sends them to a private album on google+ I believe.

i considered it, but the few people i know around here (indy) that have it aren't thrilled with the coverage. I went ahead with 2 N5's this morning and ST sims. good news is I dont have a contract so i can try out Tmo or another carrier's month-to-month plan whenever i want.
