This is extremely true and relevant. If they just called wide and folded bad flops, OK, we can chip away at their stack...but it's that they call down any peice of the board that makes them so profitable.

Thats good marketing for them force us to buy HM2 if we want zoom HUD , i cant really see a point upgrading to HM2 otherwise. Seems i have to use my friends PT3 if they decide to f us that way.

Played around 10k hands of zoom at 2nl so far, it's pretty nitty from what I've seen. People generally only playing pp's and AK. It makes perfect sense that people would be tighter at zoom because they can fold and instantly receive a new hand, as opposed to a regular cash table where people get bored and lose patience and want to see flops with a lot of speculative hands.

Most of the big pots are won via coolers with sets vs overpairs vs flushes, etc. I still can't figure out the most profitable strategy...

HEM2 runs too slow on this netbook, has to be HEM 1 or nothing. If they really arent going to sort it out, they are going to lose the war to pokertracker, 100% for definite.

Im happy to say that I am now thrashing Zoom. I hope you all are too.

Im a bit weirded out that they went 2, 5, 10nl zoom then 100nl zoom...no 16, 25 or 50 - why would they do that?

Its pretty standard to just play your normal ranges.

The money will come from the people who can fold QQ/JJ to a 3bet and not stack off with them and the players that can fold overpairs when they get raised on a 58T board.

I remember playing Rush and not folding overpairs and you were never good unless you had reads on the players.

My royal flush has been done over already within 10 hands back at the tables.

Zoom is insane and this just sums up the swings. I haven't seen any hands like these in so long at normal cash games.

You flopped a royal flush and made a c-bet? That villain must have been a superfish to call on such a scary flop with an underpair.
I know we all say "Don't slowplay at the micros", but I'm never betting that flop.

It's terrible marketing considering HEM2 sucks, all it will do is force people to go for PT3/4.

Yeah I dont think I ever check, I dont know. Maybe should here but after watching MDoranD and Verneers videos all that was going through my head was that.. ''we need to start building that pot to get stacks in by the river!''

If they have a pair they are calling. If I check flop and diamond comes a pair is gonna fold a lot now.

Vs players I know I can adjust but everyone is unknown so I think betting is better. Guy was obv megafish though.

Seems like horrible marketing.

People are at a point where they need to decide between HEM2 and PT4. Taking the piss on your existing customer base on a issue where you are already perceived to have ****ed up isn't going to help them.

People will just get a PT3 trial or the PT4 beta.

(Some users have found this version crashes in Windows 7. It worked fine on my old Win XP machine, but took blimmin ages to install. If it crashes you can revert to the previous version of HM1 at http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/HmUpdate.exe or from http://www.holdemmanager.com/store/d...ds-manuals.php)
FWIW, I think this is another own goal for the makers of HM, as the Pokertracker guys have beaten them again.

Oh, there was another bug fix for HM1 released today. It still doesn't give you a working HUD, but should import all hands into your database. http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloa..._19Mar2011.exe

Does HEM2 have zoom? If not, do they have plans to make it work?

For anyone that has both/used both, which is better; HEM or PT3/4?

No at the moment but I think it will be tomorrow or close to that.

Probably better to use the search function as discussion on this topic tends to get long and annoying.

I cant work out if I like it.

Its like major up swings, and major downs. Everytime I get AA and get raised my general play has been to fold unless the bet size is ******ed or the player isnt fully stacked, which I think is a massive leak but nobody is playing much but the nuts.

BvB 3bet/4bets are getting interesting, same with Btn/BB sqz plays, it wouldn't suprise me if a lot the time they actually have the nuts though.
