Why slowplay the flop? If he doesn't like his hand on that flop, there aren't many turns which will make him like it.
02-05-2013 , 04:19 PM
Let him catch up?
Even the worst fish is scared of a flush on the flop.
Not overcards, or flushes that come later if they like their TP.
If a 4th spade came and he a highish one, I'm probably getting his stack.
02-05-2013 , 06:05 PM
I agree wit TDA, u should bet that flop..
He will call wit Ax,Qx and some 9sX plus if he has two pair+ he might start raising now and wont when another spade hits..

N what is he going to catch up wit? lol if he has air, he cant even catch up anymore anyway..
How he can catch up is if has two pair and boats up but he will call or raise that regardless on flop

Also im pretty sure ur not stacking him if he makes a flush wit 9 of spades, he jus gonna check/call every street

Also think about this:
U have two cards that dont actually connect wit this flop (In the sense that u havent made a pair, two pair, trips, etc) therefore he will now have more combos of Ax.kx,qx, etc to call wit as well

Well vs a high fold to 3bet, I expect a fold pre alot and when he doesnt, Im pretty screwed vs his range so I prefer jus going to showdown/going for 1 or 2 street assuming he checks once/twice

If he had checkd turn, I was going to bet

Also had he bombed turn, I might consider fold.. Vs that size? Dont think a fold is very good lol
02-05-2013 , 06:26 PM
Well, let him think he has caught up, or let his hand improve to the point where he thinks he's best.

Good point though.

Hmm, runbad session today vs. maniacs.
One fish randomly shoving pre, like with 3bb raise, 2 callers he'd just shove.
AKs < 99, one stack lost
Same guy, had a note that he 3 barrelled with weak hands.
QK on Q high board he bet flop with 66 turn was a 6 and I called him down since he would do the same if a 6 hadn't hit (also they were smallish bets).
A8o steal attempt, flopped 2 pair, bb called me down with ATo flopped 2 pair...

Don't think I played too bad, maybe called a river bet or two I shouldn't have.

+1 to TDA.

cbet, prob half pot. the turn is only going to blank, or even get worse for him.
02-06-2013 , 12:47 PM
Anyone not vbetting this river??
Vill is nit, 10/6 over small amount, haven't seen him show anything down.

^He had JJ and rivered a full house?
Sick cooler.
Against this villain I may check it back.
Make a note, though. Most would raise that flop with a set because it's so draw heavy.
02-06-2013 , 01:39 PM
Close, QQ.
Couldn't really think of any hands I beat that would call a riverbet. But trying to get some more value with riverbets, hoping for QJ/AQ I guess.
02-06-2013 , 02:40 PM
It's very close imo. A NIT will err on the side of folding though, so I'd probably check this back and don't think that'd be a leak in this situation. Against looser players then becomes closer to a value bet imo

What u think I called flop wit that makes u bet turn?.. Seems kinda thin..

Then again my call pre seemed thin too.. I was gonna fold but then I was like, I dont want this reg to think that I fold too much to 3bets so il jus continue on set flops.. maybe a slightly -ev play but it will help vs regs to keep them to constantly 3bvetting u plus im getin like 18 to 1 odds ip

Call or fold, both seem ok. Could be he just doesn't believe. Or shows up w 88/22/KQ/AK. AK seems possible, kinda depends on his 3b %?
02-07-2013 , 03:24 AM
QJcc raise flop KTss overbet turn and once you get there overbet river 22 fold pre and nh postflop KJ fold river, you can probably fold flop

Not sure what you're implying with this... anyway nh
02-07-2013 , 03:55 AM
wat.. I should actually jus straight up fold flop vs him w KJ? Guess it doesnt seem that bad cuz hes a nit but it jus sounds so weak..
02-07-2013 , 04:21 AM
The way I analyse situations means words like weak/strong become useless, I don't feel they are good ways of expressing relative hand strength only absolute. Maybe I can convince you it's not that 'weak' with this approach. AA/AK/KQ/KK/88/22 are 39 combos
