That sucks guys, I hope you have a better day tomorrow.

I had a good day today. 284 hands in 2 sessions at 2NL on 888 and I'm up almost 2.5BI. Mostly won by remembering the 2 golden rules of the micros:
  1. Don't slow play. I made sure I played my big hands fast and I won a couple of stacks by doing this.
  2. They're not bluffing. I had to be reminded of this by stacking off with AQ on an A high board vs a 15/8/7 TAG who was raising.
Graph, bedause I just figured out how to save them

Guys, we need to learn from these players..

Watch how they play.. Its very interesting how well they play their hands..

Just before I had posted how to play AA by a good platyer, its a great play to charge FDs/straight draws

Now this player is showing us how to make some Ax hands fold w KK.. Because remember 30% of the time Ax wins vs KK so we need it to fold so that we win 100% fof the time instead of 70%

N i do hav a pp more often than air, tahts a rare occurrence
02-17-2013 , 09:32 PM
Ha, I thought you did. More reason why you might call me down!

Lots of fish at 25NL tonight. Actually think it is better to play at this time or early morning. Too many regs at 5-9pm UK time.
02-17-2013 , 09:58 PM
Andy, what's your SN?

Fortunately managed to avoid many hands with good regs in the session I just had, I was playing ****ing awfully.

Anyone see much wrong with this hand? Villain is a good aggressive reg (so will c/r draws as well as sets here, but I have a note which suggests he won't c/r TPTK). I thought I played it quite well to be honest at the time, but it looks really spewy, despite each play seeming justifiable (I honestly thought I had the best hand on the river):

So apparently this is the best way to play suited connectors..
I've always wondered.. Now this player has shown me how.

Khan, if you weren't such a nit you wouldn't see a problem with that. I will never fault anyone for opening any hand on the button, though I only open about 70% myself.

Edit: Thoughts on postflop?
02-17-2013 , 10:43 PM
You should watch Blah's vids on DC, he says its fine to open any suited cards. I wouldn't open that unless they are nits and im not getting 3bet a ton.

Postflop, Well he doesn't rep much, I might just station it as long as a diamond doesn't come but Iv seen people do spazzy things bvb so wouldn't suprise me if he shows up with QT.
02-17-2013 , 10:53 PM
Yeah, villain showed up with 55. All I can think is that he misread his hand as 88. It was a little tilting though.
02-17-2013 , 10:57 PM
I open alot of suited but thats the worst suited possible..
I think id rather let that bull**** hand go vs a aggro reg in blind.. 2 nits is obv different..

As for the hand, u obv need some reads/history to do this.. But it does become obv u dont have a set when u check turn, no way u let the FD go for free.. So he could bet w air or jus check some decent SDV hand on river..

I think I would b surprised if u have the best hand there, esp vs a aggro reg..

Last edited by khangura175; 02-17-2013 at 10:58 PM. Reason: lol@55, hes definitely on tilt
02-17-2013 , 10:57 PM
Nah you will see that a lot. Someone took kinda the same line vs me earlier with 44 on a 778 flop. Also when you 3bet the flop with 72, he can ship it in with FDs here and your in a ****ty spot.

His stats were all tag, he seemed solid so I was thinkin poor guy has AK, oh well tough times buddy.

Then I saw his hand and marked him as a dummy.

Also, I was thinkin.. Vs his shove there, Should I even call w AK?
it would jus seem so likely he has 88, were deep n everything n only a dummy would shove A8 or even have it general..
Well, I guess i wouldnt 3bet vs his raise anyway w AK, id rather call i think

Nah, definitely 2.5BI. It worked out at $4.96. I know that PT<=3 used BB as Big Bets rather than big blinds, but v4 seems to have changed that. Unless I've accidentally set some option somewhere.
