Pretty sure this is going to qualify as a dumb question and I am half embarrassed to ask it, but I'm stumped.

If there is a 169 starting hand combos in NLHE why is getting dealt aces 220 to 1 and not 168 to 1?

Its because it is harder to deal pocket pairs. Think of it this way - once you have been dealt an ace, there are only 3 remaining aces you can receive, but 4 of every other card.

Cheers man. Actually asking the question lifted the fog a little bit. One of those blonde days.

Are you talking paired flops/paired complete runouts? Are you including trips/quads/two pair on board? And 20 hands will probably be anything from 0-20 with reasonable confidence intervals.

Why do people say you should never limp when there's loads of limping on tv eg Big Game, High Stakes Poker

I say that never limping is a good general rule, however there are opponent(s) specific reads that could make limping the most +EV move to do.

It's a bit like complex math and science fields where they tell you a "general rule" that you learn later on is really just a simplification that they teach freshman in order for the curriculum as a whole to be successful.

It's not good to limp cause you get less information preflop and you are inviting many people in the pot.
But its not a rule. Every move in poker depends on your opponents.
So if you see player acting after you raising a lot of limped pots you may assume he will raise if you limp with a strong hand and trap him that way. Thats just one simple example. However it doesnt always work out the way you expected so the general rule is - you don't want to do it often, it brings more trouble for you especially when you have limited information on your opponent.

The reason to post here is that you can learn more than just browsing, IMO

Because you're not Phil Ivey. When you get paid to play poker on TV with other high stakes players, you may need to take unconventional lines too.

Get link of your image, if your picture in not hosten anywhere you can upload them into photobucket.com and get link of image there. If you use photobucket you will get for all uploaded photos IMG code, just copy/paste code here and all done.

If from different website use this picture icon

and enter link of image. Not that hard i believe

You may also read this article what explain it more if having any problems http://www.digicamhelp.com/processin...osting-photos/

you can call moderator if people don't talk english. Will it help? no. Did two guys collude -> very improbable. At least not through the chat at PS

Chat moderators are for policing inappropriate chat, including abuse and non-English speech (Note: Some tables allow other languages). Chat moderators do not handle collusion complaints.

Email [email protected] with any collusion complaints. Err on the side of filing a report - It's what they get paid to do.

I have 2 questions.

1.When playing in a NLHE tournament and we have a dead button with 3 players remaining and I am in the big blind position. After that hand we lose the person that was UTG and the button moves to the person that just paid the small blind.
Now with only 2 people remaining am I required to post the big blind again?

2.When 3 people remain in a NLHE tournament and the big stack is not interested in making a deal are the other 2 allowed to make a deal that would guarentee them (amongst those 2) a split of 2nd and 3rd place money no matter the outcome upon completion?

For example if the payouts are ;
1st-- 300
2nd-- 200
3rd -- 100

and the 2 short stacks agree for a minimum of 150 each no matter who ends up in whatever position at the end.The big stack wants no part of any deal
and feels that the 2 short stacks should not be allowed to agree to that.

I feel that it should not concern the big stack if I want to give the other short stack $50 if I finish higher than him in the tournament and vice versa with him .Should he be all owed to tell us what we can do with our winnings after the tournament is over?
