Is there a thread that discusses typical values (or gives ranges) for different PT stats. I'm trying to configure my HUD with colour ranges in PT3 to label opponents at nits, tags....
(not sure if that makes sense)

for example, regrading PFR: 0-7.9% (being tight), 8-13.9 (reg), 14-20.9 (agressive-reg), 21-100 (agro maniac). or something like that for various stats. ty for any help.

Any good explainations about ICM?

Still don't get it even with Google.

Indenpendent Chip models.

Is it a forumlua to caculate equity only?

It basically works out your equity at a given point, usually in stt's, and you can then use it with potential options to see what is best. example - if there's four people with equal stacks in a standard 50/30/20 stt and we see that villain in the sb has shoved AK on our 22 in the bb, it'll tell us to fold easily

I totally understand what you are asking...as I bet most HUD users have at times been in the same spot.

There are a few threads around.....however, I will recommend you do the legwork yourself. You will learn SO MUCH MORE about this aspect of poker by doing it yourself....and your winrate will reap the rewards. Honest.

Can anyone recommend a poker odds calculator, that works with any site and just sort of reads the cards? So i don't have to input details, and will do it against a random field so only my cards and flop/turn are needed.

Just as a followup: I spoke with a friend about this and I'm now confident F != T. Stove's equities are all based on a runout to the river and not to the turn.

We decided that the information that could be had by knowing T is not useful, so the purpose of finding it does not exist. There are too many other and simpler ways of arriving at the same conclusions that I wondered if T would help with.

First off, Thanks a million. Those links were just what the Dr. ordered.

Don't need 2 begginner FAQs open at the same time. Reredos looks good (sorry for the confusion [just google it if you have to]).

Took a preak at the first two and can see there is a ton of info on the subject.

Is it wrong to assume that HEM is standard for NL? Want to cement this with sediment.

HEM / PT

Its a matter of personal choice, but they both do probably more than you will ever need.

HEM is probably better, both are massively under price for what they give you.
Anyone who's anyway serious about the game should have one of them, personally I'd go with HEM.

A simple question.

If you have over cards and able to form a bigger pair on the turn and flop.

Will you call a raise on the flop? When you have outs for maybe pair and runner runner straight/flush draw?

This is a very vague question. Try posting an actual hand history along with reads.

It depends on specifics - pot size, raise size, stack sizes and opponents but generally speaking very, very standard fold.

Against the better advice of the good posters on here, I decided to continue and go out and play 200NL live for fun, although I was in no way rolled for it.

I went on a heater and now I've put aside a roll of $1000 to play online.

I want to put in volume in the micros, fix my leaks, and work my way up the levels in the responsible way.

I'm rolled I think up to NL25, but I have never played cash online, and I imagine that it would be better for me to start at a lower level.

The question is, at what level should I start?

My goal in playing online is to become a better player overall, but I don't know the differences between the levels, so where should I start?

I thought about starting as low as I could go, but a lot of posters think that playing NL2 is a "waste of time."
