LOL ... I think I first used Usenet shortly after that. I remember a lot of people bitching and moaning. Wasn't there also a bug for a while which made every post from AOL show up seven times, or am I confusing that with something else?

Edit: oh and I was going to suggest to phillyparxplayer9 that he follow the old Usenet advice that you should lurk before you post, but I'm not sure he'd take it well. (5 crappy threads on his first day ... sheesh)

Speaking of ancient history, I just realized this year is my 30th anniversary of being online. Sucks to be old. (Bought a Commodore 64 in the summer of '83, modem about 4 months later).
