OK...Hand reading is the next skill I would like to work on.
Cliff notes- I played SNGs only for a few years and did ok playing mostly push/fold, so my post flop skills are relatively weak. I started playing full ring micro on Bovada about 5 weeks ago and am doing ok after about 10K hands. But I find I'm still playing my cards more often than not, simply betting for value and shutting down vs resistance. I feel that the next step for me is to understand my opponents ranges better so I know when a bet wouldn't accomplish anything, when to switch to showdown value, etc.
The problem is I have no idea how to improve this (other than experience). Is there a series of hand histories where you can try to deduce your opponents hole cards and then see the result? I know there are hands posted here and there, just wondering if there's a specific resource geared for this. Or if any of you poker wizards have any other suggestions.
PS- really getting in to posting here and really appreciative for you to share with the poker community. Someday I hope to be a contributor (OFF the tables that is!).
