Nah - I'd prefer flatting in the SB/BB, especially in FR.

I don't play nit ring tho. I'd call live though so I guess I agree.

Well sunday is the day where I transfer half my profit to my backer and what not so I decided to have a session this afternoon before making the transfer. I played awful. Just bloody awful. I knew in myself I was playing so bad so I had to cut my session short.

Here is Sundays graph:

So I transfer the profit from the week and skype my coach to let him know its done and he was quite happy and said gratz on your first week. I myself was not so happy. Told him it would have been more if I hadn't been an absolute tit in the afternoon. He said not to worry and that at least I admitted I was playing like an idiot and I would be easier to work with. So I jump into my bed to watch a movie and I can't settle at all. That session just keeps running through my mind and I decide.....NO I am better than that. Another session to prove it and get it back!

Here is Monday early morning fun:

Now I'm pretty satisfied and at my coaching session tomorrow night coach should be happy too

Here are a couple of fun hands.

A solid $1.40 profit on my first day playing of the year... not bad for a Sunday Only played like 9 mtts/mtsngs.. and 75 hands or so of 7 game.. was down like 15 after my mtt/mtsng... won it back plus that big $1.40 at 7 game. Played my mtts/mtsngs pretty ****** and kept running into monsters.. but played pretty well at the cash games.
01-03-2011 , 12:07 AM
enprite i played the ak hand passively to get value from my hand... if i donk my hand looks exactly like ak,sets or 6-7s so vs someone with a narrow range who has to cbet i think im losing $ to donk out like that.. his double barrel bet sizing was funny to me and that the scared value bet otr... felt like he had a set by the turn but i mean the guy is 10/8 its like such a sick spot cuz not enough sets are in his range on that board you know

Well, not so much this season. Not retired, or injured anymore. Definitely agree that him holding out was not good for the Jets. Really wasn't the same this year. Still in the playoffs though, so I will take it. Hoping he will return to form soon.

Played 3300 hands at 5nl past two days. Down 4 buyins. Looking to turn it around. Hopefully getting a sweat tomorrow to see if I'm missing something. Another set of eyes might see something that I don't. On a side note to me it seems like the players flat-call preflop raises with big pairs a lot more. Has anyone else noticed this particularly between 5nl and 10nl?

What are you guys' thoughts on Star's 10NL: 20-50BB vs 40-100BB vs 100-250BB tables. Which is the softest, less variance, etc.?
01-03-2011 , 04:15 AM
250bb 10nl is the sofest micro game out there
01-03-2011 , 04:17 AM
Alright, so far I've been trying 40-100BB and it's a giant nitfest.

^^

wow..bet wayyy bigger on the turn..why so small?
01-03-2011 , 11:17 AM
Just played my first Session of 2011. I opened 2-25nl tables, and 4-10nl tables. While searching through the lobby for a new table, I accidentally snap min-4bet at a 25nl table. I did have AJs, and the btn only flatted my 4bet. But I check/folded on a 367r flop.

About 4 hands later I won my biggest pot ever online. I'm only buying in for 80bb's at the 25nl tables bc my Stars BR can't support 100bbs. But I had QQ and raised utg1, btn flats, and so does BB. Flop was 3dQs8s and the BB min donk bets 25¢ so I raised to $1.50, both the btn and BB flat. The turn is a 3 spades, completing the flush. So the BB checks, so do I, and the btn bets 50¢ and the BB & I both flat. River is Kc. BB checks, and I bet $4.50, the btn min raises me and the BB shoves for an extra 35¢, and I shipped it in. Btn had the nut flush As7s (on paired board) and the BB had KJos (no pair no draw til river) and I had Qs full. The pot was $56.85 and then they took out $2 rake. That was my biggest pot ever!!

And then on a 10nl table about 20ish hands later I got it AIPF w/ KK and lost to AA. Still won $22 on the session, so I'm happy. Would of been more had I not misclicked and min 4bet pre w/ AJs. I was debating calling his shove on the flop in that hand bc there was ~$35 in the pot and it would of costed me $12.50 to call. Problem was I had no pair no draw, and AJ high.
01-03-2011 , 01:17 PM
its so small cuz i wanted to half pot shove river
01-03-2011 , 01:22 PM
try to get the money is as soon as possible..

dont worry yourself about the river sizing as long as it is a shove that isnt an overbet

you might even be able to shove ott anyways

but you gotta bet bigger ott regardless
01-03-2011 , 02:08 PM
2011 goals:

- Better BRM
- Fewer tables, play better
- Stop trying to luckbox myself a big MTT score
- Improve my coinflipping skills
01-03-2011 , 02:18 PM
Once again i'm back starting the year with practically nothing ($0.40 & 2122.64 FPP's on stars), and i'm planning to work my way through the Limit ranks and try and top last years total (which i think was only ~$250)

Initial plan of attack....
> Start by playing 210fpp Sats to get some T$
> Use the T$ to play $1.10 DoN's till I (hopefully) hit $12
> Start grinding 2c/4c Limit
> Study (instead of just reading) SSHE and try to actually apply the concepts aswell as understanding them

This was my initial plan of attack, i've already placed in the first 2 sats i played and placed in 4 of the first 6 DoN's so i'm up to $8.40. So it's not been a bad start to the year. Hopefully I can keep this up aswell as keeping other life issues under control.

I have a feeling this is going to be a good year. Good luck to everyone else, may this be a profitable and educational year for everyone

Sick turn and I got paid off too.

ya questionable hands where you might not know where you're at or if you took the right line

not super standard hands..with no commentary or anything

At what point to ppl get better? I am used to playing .5/1 limit and am making the switch to NL and man I should of switched a long time ago. Also do most of you raise 3x + 1 for every limper? I missed that on this hand.
