has anyone played those multi entry tournies on tilt yet? do you just play at 2 different tables? what if you made the FT with both entries? lol

Yes.. you just play at different tables.

You can't... your stacks merge. If there are 11 left, and you have 2 stacks remaining... when 11th place busts.. your shorter stacks gets merged with the bigger stack.. .the shorter stack goes out in 10th.. and you have all those chips as one player at the ft.

3 by 3 at 3 of 3 ftw imo

I can't even take shots at NL10 even though I'm over rolled for NL5 since apparently all the 40-100BB tables are always full whenever I want to play, and I don't really know how to play the 20-50BB ones or whatever, seems like there's no room to maneuver on turn/river with those stacks.

Since nowadays I switched to playing my usual stakes at PokerStars and I don't intend to play seriously at Full Tilt any more, I decided to withdraw everything from FT, except 12 euros.

I left those 12 euros because thought it would be cool to do a little personal challenge with that amount, starting at 2NL with 6 buyins and to try to work my way up the limits, building a new FT bankroll. I have never played any stakes lower than 10NL, so I think it will be fun and useful to see how I will do in this challenge starting from the lowest level.

The plan is to have an aggressive BR management at low stakes up to 25NL, i.e. move up when I have 10 to 15 BI for the next level. If I don't bust and reach 10NL, I'll move to 25NL only once I have more than 20BI for that level (which is noticeably tougher)

This will be like a little side project, so I'll only do it whenever I have a little free time for a couple hundred hands. The challenge will end when I get bored or go busto

So far had 3 short sessions at 2NL, and doing quite well. The graph of the progress is below. It also helps that I ran pretty good (hopefully, I won't jinx myself with this)

Ty. I wasnt sure how I would react when taking a beat and losing what is effectively 3bi at my previous level NL10 but it didnt phase me thankfully.

So much can be said for making sure your properly rolled.

so i'm messing around with my HUD and i have some questions for u guys on preference.
- how large are your hud stats (font, rows, stats per row)
- do you guys have player name, hands in ur hud. i do right now but i think its a waste of space as long as you dont mix up who's who, and the hands isnt that big a deal since i already have hud set to 100 hand minimum as is.

currently my hud is this
Name, # of hands
VPIP,PFR,3bet, fold to 3bet
Cbet %, fold flop to CBet%, Attn to Steal, Fold to Steal

the stats are good but the box seems too large to me atm when i 4 table, as in depending on position they cover: bet bar, my hand options (usually dont put anything there obv), peoples stack sizes, or cards and could miss a player in a hand

Wrong person to ask here.

Iv just went with the default and added fold to 3bet and wtsd.

I should be making much more use of my hud and customising it better.

/makes note to self.

The smallest font, the others depend how many stats you want in your HUD. I just placed them and spaced them so that they fit nicely and don't interfere with anything at the table

Player name is a waste of space, but the number of hands is a must for me.

currently my hud is this
Name, # of hands
VPIP,PFR,3bet, fold to 3bet
Cbet %, fold flop to CBet%, Attn to Steal, Fold to Steal

Are you using prefixes for each stat? I don't use them, just remember what each number in each location means. That saves space.
I currently have:
# hands, steal, fold to steal, resteal from blinds
VPIP, PFR, 3bet, fold to 3bet, squeeze
AF, A%, Flop cbet, fold to flop cbet, turn cbet, fold to turn cbet

A bit too many maybe, but they all fit nicely into a little box and also fits into empty spaces at PS and FT tables when I 4-table. But I only play 4 tables at most anyway
.

i just found i can get rid of VPIP and PFR prefixes so they were the first thing to go, i got rid of names too. i think i'm going to def make my font smaller, i can prob half the size of the defualt and then i think i will go from there.

thanks for ur input, i've always used my hud effectively but i never felt great about the set-up of it lol

The last week has been a bit of a roller coaster, had a few RL issues to deal with over the weekend, and playing poker at the same time was not a good idea, i'm now down one mouse (well technically it still works, but the wheel is kind of jammed and won't work). And I can now switch my laptop off by plugging something into one of the USB ports.

On the plus side, i've now hit the $50 mark from $0.40 at the start of the year. So not that bad all in all. I really do need to learn to not play when i've got other things on my mind.

The next 2 people that quote this post will get $5 from me if I do not do the following in February:

150 90man sngs/mtts
5,000 hands cash
Watch 4 videos
Get in 17 workouts.

Keep in mind.. I almost always only 4-6 table sngs/mtts.. and only 4 table cash.. so this is pretty good sized volume for me..esp with a short month and me having a lot of people coming into town to visit throughout the month. Plus.. it's free money!

If I succeed.. then you get nothing..but also owe me nothing.

IW,

- Is this going to be on stars/FT/RPM, or a combination?
- Will you be visible to "Find Player"?
- Will you have a web-cam of video watching and workouts? ()
01-20-2011 , 07:51 PM
Mostly on ftp... maybe a tiny amount (less than 1% of my play) will be on stars.. pretty much just the Sunday lotto.. if I can play it.. and the random 4/180.

Yep.. I can't hide on ftp.

Lol nah.. since you guys are freerolling... it'll just be the honor system... but you can see my workouts on my 2nd blog.. which is linked from my first blog..which is linked in the blog sticky/announcement.
01-20-2011 , 08:37 PM
I didn't know you couldn't hide on FTP. And as my BR there is $2.85 I was surprised it let my observer chat on your 25NL table.

Yeah, I figured it'd be the honor system, and thats OK 'cos I have no interest in watching you workout !

Once I Xfer $150 from FTP/PS - I'll be back to grinding the 45's/180's - Can't play/run good @ Cash Games and I tilt/steam alot
01-20-2011 , 11:51 PM
Urgh, had a **** 5K hand downswing at 10NL losing 10BIs. Back to 5NL I guess. Always frustrating. Also had some horrible luck on the bubble of few 180mans where I started really strong.

fyi i watch the shows that i missed during the early stages of the sng. and i sill make a killing ^^

ty wisdom. it would be great when i reach gold
Two things.

Are these just the 1.10? or are you mixing in .55 or 3.25s?

Are those twenty tables with your HUD, and at that many tables does your system get really laggy?

I'm finding that when I hit like 18-20 my systems almosts lags too much and i time out a lot. But then again I have a **** laptop from like 2.5 yrs ago.
