In the past I always used 3rd party tools for my hotkeys.
Since PS got the hotkeys I dumped my 3rd party tools.
I finally found they where all conflicting with my right clicking, all this time.

When i did my tn2 teamviewer session with a TN rep, he told me to always turn on hotkeys on tn2 as oppose to stars. The same as if im using tn1 with stars. Do most of you do that? The thing is i think its actuallly a better idea to use the stars hotkeys instead since if yout tn1 or tn2 couldn't work, then it doesn't matter at all. Thoughts on this?


The other option is the popup table whenever user action is required. He mentions to always turn this off on the pokerstars client and have it turned on tn2. Do most of you do this? Again, i feel like its better to have it turned on pokerstars itself the popup as oppose to tn2 because if tn2 doesn't work or if say you go back to pokerstars6... isn't this going to be a huge hassle? The reason i ask this is b/c i had to go from stars 7 to stars 6 b/c my internet has been really bad and b/c 7 uses a lot more data on my iphone than pokerstars 6 and each time i revert back to 6... everything gets unchecked so i have to check it all again in stars 6.

i just configured all my hotkeys and started playing, after some hands it all stops and software (9635) does only recognize my mouse-keys and standard keys in the hotkeys section. I can type in chat but i can't use ctrl or alt combinations and I also cant use my gamepad.

So I can click mouse middle for all in, but not spacebar or A for open 2BB.

Don't know how to turn it on again and why did turn itself off in the first place


Oh and for the love of god, put the "show hand" tab somewhere else, I can't count how many times I wanted to show a hand only that in that frame of a tenth second the button changes from "show hand" to "raise to 2bb" and I am raising crap UTG with that. UTG it's especially nasty and HU it happens even more often.



it gets worse. Now when I start PS7 and click the gear icon, the software freezes 50%. The cashier can still be opened and I can switch between Quickseat or Main Lobby but everything else isn't working.

Are you using PTR4 or HEM2? Try clicking stop auto import and see if the hotkeys start working again, then try open Stars by right clicking the PokerStars icon and click Run as Administrator if it does work you need to be running stars as Administrator when using PTR or HEM.

I can't find many reasons but for me personally it helps when you are a staked player keeping your rake back (T$) separate from stake funds when registering for formats that are stake and non staked games. (Buy in for SNGs with cash and MTTs with T$)

Many players want to play more Zoom tables in one pool.
The limitation has been in place for quite a while, and stems from a 24 table global cash game cap (our estimation is that 1 Zoom table is roughly equivalent to 4 normal tables in the context of the cap). Zoom actually does have a six table cap, but only four tables of any given stake.

Keith, I hate to go on about this as it's relatively trivial, but every single time I log in there is an alert in the Challenges app, despite there being nothing to alert me about.

WOW. So I'm unable to close opened tournament lobby, unable to exit PokerStars client, and I immediately send them my log files and got their response within 15 mins and I'm told my user.ini file might have gone corrupted. LOL just few days ago I finally deleted my user.ini as everytime I used to face an issue on PS7, you would either blame my internet connection or say that my user.ini file might have gone corrupted , so now that I finally deleted my user.ini file and set my old settings manually and now when I face an issue again , you blame on my user.ini again?

Any updates on the known freezing bug in the new stars 7 client? Usually every couple days all my tables will freeze or lag extremely bad to the point where i have to restart the client to play hands, meanwhile i am happily playing on every other site at the same time with no problems. This happens on the .fr and .com client.

I had zero problems with pokerstars 6.fr before i was forced to upgrade to the now obviously buggy client a couple weeks ago. I also had an incident yesterday where i went allin and after being called my table replicated into 3 different tables all showing the same runout. The 3 tables then remained on my desktop even after closing down the poker client and checking the task manager to see if any processes were running.

I have emailed support and they say that it is a known issue, but dont offer any means to remedy it.

dont know if this is a help, but:

I have found that if I open 3rd party software (hm2/magicholdem) before opening PS and close them before closing PS that my user.ini file does not corrupt (at least hasnt for a week now) prior to figuring this out - corrupt files daily

Pretty sure this is not possible via the client, you can however use third party tools to achieve this but I do not know how it will affect your game play.

Actually this had nothing to do with PS7. At the time you noted this we had a backend issue where the Tournament Announcement messages were not displaying for a week or two. This reduced awareness of upcoming tournaments which in turn reduced the turnout. The situation was rectified shortly afterward and tournament participation returned to normal.

Although some players dislike the messaging in the lobby and at the tables, they are effective in increasing participation in various games and tournaments.

Please let us know which client version you are using (go to Help > About PokerStars and look for the 4-digit build number for Client Version).

Thanks for your offer to help, and we are sorry you’ve been experiencing problems with the Mac client. The team is working hard to improve the experience. The March client updates being deployed this week and next week include several areas of improvement and bug fixes related to Mac performance. Meanwhile, the team is working on further optimization efforts for the April client updates.

Could you please send log files to Support the next time you have a freeze? Go to Help > Log Files, add a note about what you experienced and click Send Log Files. Also, please let me know which client version you are using – go to Help > About PokerStars and look for the 4-digit Build number for the Client Version.

I tried the registry changes and it doesn't work. It just continues doing the same thing. I was able to remove borders on the tables so at least they can't possibly blink anymore but the taskbar flashing every some seconds is just annoying. I know I have action on the table I don't need some annoying blinking thing telling me so. Any other thoughts? Thanks

Hello Keith,

I am addressing you here for help, since Stars support (Federico
PokerStars Technical Specialist) replied me with template mail about the risk of wireless connections, the possible problems with internet and similar, which I find incompetent and insulting.

There is a player Yda4niGG who keeps sitting players (including me) in hu hyper lobbies right after they are disconnected, 4 others reported the same in several hours - sitting lobby, getting disconnected (without other internet issues) and getting snap sat and blinded down by SAME player Yda4niGG each time.

Can you please make sure this player gets investigated, cause the template answer I get from support and complete IGNORING of what I write them, is hugely frustrating and the issue is VERY SERIOUS. Thanks!

The favourites tab for tournaments is awesome,when it works, I would say 1 out 4 times I go on it freezes/says no game available. Internet is not the issue as I am playing many tables already and using internet for other things.

Sure this has been reported by it is really annoying.
