As I was reading through this thread today I came across what at first I thought was absolutely the stupidest thing posted in this thread:

I don't deposit therefore by your definition and meaning I contribute nothing, "into the poker economy." I don't actually have a big issue with this by the way. However the end result of this calculation you propose results in a division by zero therefore my reward percentage would be infinite. As well as being useless and meaningless this is just not how things work.
Then I got to this:

Please offer even just one example where money has gone back to recreational players.

Forgive me if I believe (1) over (2).
As it happens, and just for the sake of complete transparency, I've also known (1) for several years, and respect his leadership & honesty.
There is literally zero evidence to back up this PR BS about how rewards or anything else of value have been shifted to recreationals. There has been nothing but cuts. Yes the cuts have had more effects on those who used to receive the most but everyone including recreationals have been cut. As for the long promised fantastic new promotions, beyond card match there has been nothing but crickets. Meanwhile the list of promos that have been killed is long and easy to produce. We could start with the Astronomer Freerolls that have provided free money to the lowest levels almost for as long as PokerStars has been around.
And just to be accurate what the CEO is accountable for is financial results not PR spin. And all the cuts in promotions and rewards have helped him meet those requirements, at least in the short term. All the broken promises to players are not part of his fiduciary responsibilities.
All this crap makes me think you are back on PokerStars payroll? Either that or it's just stupid is as stupid does.
