I dont follow any of the tech part of these coins just the numbers, got in at 42 (Late i know)but thinking of just letting it ride.

Every time I've been tempted to sell something during this crazy alt bull week I didn't and was thankful for it. JUST. KEEP. HOLDING.

You should really try to understand the tech side of cryptos before you do anything regarding them. Otherwise your statement is no different than guessing a number in roulette.

Hi. I just invested in Litecoin on Coinbase by bank transfer. I didn't see anything show up on my account nor on my bank statement. How long does it take for it to process?

Litecoin is fine and all, but when Gdax adds new cheaper coins who the **** is going to buy litecoin? I mean I'm guessing 99% of of newbs could admit they bought litecoin because it was the cheapest.

I'm always thinking about what coins Coinbase might add. BCH seems likely unfortunately but what else do you guys think will be listed first?

Most likely the highest trading volume coins. Ripple would seem likely.

Not to rain on your parade, but WTC has gotten crushed by BTC since that post, like most everything else.

Sorry about triggering that market correction with my last post fellas...

The deadline to get maximum benefits (airdrops) by holding QSP in your wallet is tomorrow. Any tokens held on exchanges won't be counted. They're doing a tiered bonus for ppl that hold the coin early and you get paid out as they begin to perform audits on smart contracts.

It's still a speculative company but they're first movers in what seems to be a necessary niche. They provide a third party to digitally audit code for both parties that attempts to make sure it does what it's supposed to. They then offer bounties for hackers to double check the work, reducing the risk even further. Commercial parties can hypothetically then get insurance to cover the remainder.

What is benefit of it being its own coin, instead of them just getting paid, is it because the hackers can trustlessly work on finding bugs?

Yep, price locks in.
It's actually a good way to get crypto when the market is free falling because yea you're being raped in fees/over-spot prices but usually by the time the crypto hits your account the market is sunrunning and you weren't able to panic sell .

Achievement unlocked: get rekt while everyone else holdin is making bank. I knew metal was doing bad but I didn't realize my lost opportunity cost was THAT BAD. Lol!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.

Get in the day before China ban, then get heavy into metal is pretty much the worst combo an investor could have made and I did it. Virtual Currency - Alt Coin Discussion Thread.

still HODLIN and ive learned many valuable lessons obviously, growing and getting more optimistic and strong by the day. May need like 15k to 20k BTC to break even on initial investment tho. (25k if all my other coins go to 0)

ETC rallies on this news. This whole market is a ****ing joke. Why don't they just turn the block reward to 0 tomorrow? If they say it will work in however many years.. why won't it work tomorrow?

It's common sense, it doesn't ****ing work. I know it.. Vitalik knows it!

I'm curious as well.

I stayed away from this one after the IBM news for quite a few reasons:

1)CEO himself said the coin will be replaced (but the technology used) in the future.

2) Buying the currency doesn't give you any stake in the network.

3) Big candles/breakouts get sold off so hard.

Guess I'm wrong though because it's run up 2.5x since then and hasn't sold off too severe (I would still be taking hellllllla profits if i had bags of it though).

Depends which ones, but you can store ERC20 tokens on your ethereum adress using your ledger nano S or Trezor. Ledger Nano S supports some other altcoins too, no idea about Trezor.

Hey all. To anyone that has used bittrex, is it pretty easy for verification? I put in my basic information but it says it does not work and asks for enchanced verification where i have to send in some documents. Others told me bittrex takes a long time with this. Can someone tell me if this is true or not? Also would it be foolish to send btc to bittrex without sending verification first? Im planning to use btc to buy altcoins and someone suggested do not send btc to bittrex until you send in the verification. But does anyone know why basic verification does not work? The other person mentioned they do not know why.

Also do most of you download wallets for each specific altcoin? Thus if you have 25 altcoins... you download 25 wallets? Of course you download btc, litecoin, eth wallet but what about those other wallets? Or do you keep them in the exchange? But if you have a lot then its would be risky there so im wondering what do most of you do with your other altcoins especially if you have a lot of it.
