pretty big crypto noob but everytime he recs a coin it doubles the same day, isn't this free short term money?

Yes but you might need to be ready to pounce on it as soon as he tweets. I had to move some coins around first today so I only got in near the end of the initial spike and it's been sitting there at the same price ever since. Oh well. I'm assuming his power will fade a little every time the more he does this, depending on how good the actual coin is. I'm sad I missed yesterday's when it was cheap, BURST actually sounds pretty interesting and unique.

Just read about it yesterday. Apparently it should enable transactions without fees that settle almost instantly. That obv sounds too good to be true, so what's the catch? Downside is that it can only be bought on obscure exchanges at the moment it seems. If their claims are correct though...

On reddit there is some "iota vs xrb" thing going on fwiw
So from what I gather all of the xrb was given away for free thru a faucet capcha over the last couple years. Doesn’t m this screw over a chance for mass adoption?

Placed a limit order for Verge on Binance at market price ($0.17) last night for a good chunk of coins and then went to bed. I woke up to discover that not only was it not filled, but that it jumped almost 100% in that span. I run so good...

I saw it when it first made a splash by hitting 4 cents a week ago. I figured it had finished its pump so I didn't buy in. What is this thing anyway? Is it a long term hodl, or a pump and dump?

How hard will BTC and alts crash when we find out some of those exchanges are the FTP and Ultimatebet of the industry?

Been in XLM since September, just found out that both Fidelity and Liberty Mutual are working their internal blockchains on it, on top of the public knowledge that IBM is.

Aren't there faucets for pretty much every coin out there?

if you own iota long term or bullish long term read this:

https://medium.com/@comefrombeyond/c...e-5834c7f8172d

this is the guy devving iota. this rebuttal is so weak, offensive really, as it contains a red herring at every turn that i am beginning to think that iota is a flat out scam.

Sure, you can take that and try to day trade, but it also applies to short and long-term trading and investing. Plus, it's always good to simply Know More Stuff in general.

It seems less 'Learn To Day Trade' and more 'Learn To Read And Know If The Author Knows What They're Talking About', ie:
fibs are ****ing magical lines because thats what traders believe in and it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. I personally think they are ****, and generally ignore anyone who posts a chart with just bare fib lines.

TA in crypto matters. Being able to identify local horizontal resistance and support levels is unbelievably important. Being able to identify margin call zones for 10x and 20x leverages based off futures volume data at each candle stick is insanely important. Understanding basic candlestick structures that indicate imminent potential moves is critical. Understanding basic candlestick colors is critical.

does having a solid grasp of those things make you a good trader? nope, not even close. because trading now is so deeply meta. its understanding peripheral indicators like funding ratios, when those ratios ought to matter, when they don't.
its understanding how to structure your entries. its understanding proper risk management (e.g. if u are betting more than 5% of your acct at these levels of volatility you will be broke inside of 50 trades). its understanding how to structure exits. How to create a hedge cross platforms. How to find value in different products.

I mean i literally could write 3 more paragraphs about it. The time to learn trading in crypto was 1.5 years ago when u could make a ton of mistakes and learn for free. Now with this intraday 5% swings and bizarre dislocations between similar products and 1000$ spreads between exchanges, you will get rekt as a noob. your crypto is precious, its worth a lot already... its probably overpriced. don't re-leverage yourself and do stupid things with it. focus on preserving your wealth.

You and I have both warned of this turd throughout this thread. I don't think it's an outright scam, but it's unproven, under-developed tech that should exist only in testing environment...NOT for the ding-dong public to pump money into. No one in this thread wanted it when it was trading .35 but then hordes of posters (who couldn't even figure out how to store it) HAD to have it when it was 3$+. I won't post anymore about it...anyone who didn't dump this 4$+ deserves to bag-hold it to .10

I think its safe to call it a scam until they return all iota that was stolen from users. Last I heard Iota's 4th deadline is now May 2018 which would make it about 10 months for some people.

Hey guys, new to crypto here. Thinking of investing my first couple hundo today or tomorrow. Been researching for last two weeks, and the 3 coins that stick out to me are cardano, verge, and tron. However I am a crypto fish, so was wondering if anyone could confirm:deny that this would be a good place to start.

Deny. Write out your logic for picking these coins and you should be able to help yourself.
