Noob question: I'm trying to mint some OUSD from USDC and the eth gas fees are well over $400. Any tips or tricks to get lower fees?

Go to gasnow.org and wait till gas is 40 gwei or less. Even still, it's only 50ish now so it's not going to drop that much. Must be a complex contract. Maybe just trade usdc for ousd on curve, 1inch, matcha....wherever has best rate.

I made some transactions with 6 gwei a few weeks ago. Everything got worse since EIP-1559. What happened?

1) everyone and their dogs putting out NFTs
2) I don't think blocks are as full after eip1559

Yeah forgot about the penguins, makes sense. I guess in a few weeks we might see cheap gas again.

blocks are double the size, but designed to be 50% full on average. So the average amount of gas / block is the same.

If gas is over 50% of blocksize min fee is increased for the next block, if gas is under 50% min fee is decreased.

So I tested and had some Tether sent to me from BetOnline and it went through without a hitch so today I withdrew a bit more.

The Transaction was received in my wallet with the Status of Fail and with the error being "Out of Gas". I googled this a bit and it seems this is most likely caused by them not attaching a high enough "gas" fee on the transaction.

So I contacted their support with everything and they apologized and told me to wait 48 hours and check again as Cryptocurrency can take up to 48 hours to reflect.

I'm going to wait but I'm a bit confused with the way this works on the ethereum network and anyone knowledgeable of this type of error why could this eventually reflect after the fail and error of "Out of Gas".

The transaction Hash details on Etherscan show 0 Ether Value while there was still a transaction fee close to ~$10 in ether.

Please point me to the risk free stablecoin with 20% return.

I am not well versed in this space, and know nothing of of said coins.

I always assumed this kind of talk was scam, and dismissed it as such.
Moved you off the btc thread. Go on yearn, curve or convex and sort by apy.

Well I sure am glad I went 100% ETH a few months back.

Little regretful that I didn't buy into Solana. It's interesting and kind of cool. Ultimately, I didn't really like it for philosophical reasons so I declined to invest (which was stupid tbh, clearly was gonna run.)

Anyway hope ev1 is doing well.

Keep hodling.

I'd be very surprised if you knew your ass from your elbow. Go to the proper thread. You've got SOL and you've got BTC and you post in the ETH thread? You are dialed in alright.

Because it's annoying when newbs come in and post their uneducated guesses. "I think this is going to happen..." If you think that, go bet some real money on it like the big boys do.

- farm on sushi for about a week until APYs get suppressed, onboardings are moving at a snails pace while chad SBF is closing a new deal every day

- ape back into SOL in the 160s

until L2 booms, i'm having equal (if not more) sol exposure to eth.

using arbitrum is actually amazing, but the entire vibe with this team is having to log into a university computer system + it's a ghost town. meanwhile I hate most of Solana, but transactions are instant and fees are low.

eth isn't going away and permanent high gas means people love it, but the longer L2's go without being noticed/used by the masses the more long i'm gonna be in solanaland.
