I'm seeing $19 bill and $16 bill all over, which is it? Either way it seems like a bad deal. I expect facebook to fall sharply after that one.

So how far are we letting some of these emerging market funds slide before we start building positions? Pretty 1997'ish, stands to reason that eventually there's going to serious money to be made on these.

I went long EDC from feb 4th and exited feb 14th and got about 12% after fees. I expect after today's fed remarks it will be another slide so you could take the other side until you see a trend reversal.

Covered GRPN for the smallest gain.

Price not performing how I wanted it and FB made it clear these stocks will remain overvalued.

In lots of cash now

If you have reasonable options commissions, is there any reason not to buy ^VIX calls and short VXX calls?

They seem to be well correlated, except the fees and decay of VXX gives it a worse return. I haven't done an analysis, but it doesn't seem to be priced into the options prices (at least far OTM ones).

Seamless just filed for an IPO. Pretty cool, hate that these are basically uninvestable for retail traders though.

lovely lovely chart.. it guided lower on future quarters, they will probably spin it as spending it in overseas expansion .. it will be bumpy tomorrow for sure.. their whole gaap-non-gaap method of reporting ,, hopefully it closes somewhere in the 8's AH, but it would not surprise me if it closes near 10 either.

You and half the market apparently, even though it's there in plain sight and was from the beginning. No wonder the market is so soft.

You might want to check the bolded. You need to get yourself a better news service that pays attention to details. Key points:

Q4 "adjusted" EPS of 4c, est. at 2c; Sees Q1 -4c to -2c, est EPS of +6c

Amazing that the stock went up 15% before reality hit home. Comedy gold. Congrats Myrna, nice win.

VIX calls are priced on the VIX futures which basically mirror the VXX. I think if you assume assume there are no option arbitrage opportunities, your life become a lot easier.

Hey jrb, can you post the imbalance data tomorrow and a week from tomorrow?
Fri 2/21 options expiration and Fri 2/28 EOM.

Also, congrats if anyone wrote index straddles SPX on options expiration Jan 17 close = 1839, SPX today = 1839. Option buyers lose again.

I'm sure you know this but just for everyone else those SPX options settle based off of tomorrows opening settlement for the index.
