It's not like he scammed, it's more like he lied.

I guess the result is the same, only the coach is ignorant instead of malicious and immoral.

If you offer somebody a refund if you don't show up, then you don't show up, you owe them a refund, no matter if it's your normal policy not to offer refunds.

Just pay him his refund already.

but for the poker coach to come out and say the student is "scamming"
himself if he doesnt finish the 2 sessions is just ludicrous

Surely you should refund him the money now then, a deal is a deal and you have betrayed it.

potripper: trust me. you will not regret refunding him.
socal said it best: your effing your coaching career/trust.

banning: no reason to. These contracts are not 2+2s responsibility imo.

also, FYI to potripper, and any other ppl: verbal agreements are usually binding if the service or trade/sale is for under $500. Meaning: in court, you could be forced to pay.

this is hilarious. the only conclusion this guy reaches is "NO MORE REFUNDS IN THE FUTURE!" he didn't even try to lie and say he would be more reliable.

+1 to giving that man his refund that he was told he would receive.

Wow, pathetic. For a winning NL200 reg to not refund $325 is a joke. Not only are you a scumbag, you're also ******ed. That $325 just ruined your coaching business and your 2p2 rep.

OP, I hope you run better with future coaches.

Anyone who hires this slimeball for coaching in the future has not learned their lesson.
Ban this sucker.

Potripp3r.

1. Why would you offer a refund in the first place and then renege?

2. What do you have against giving OP a refund for the whole program?

3. Why wont you at least give him a partial refund for the two session that have not been performed?

There is more to being a good coach than just the coaching, honesty, integrity, keeping your promises........need i go on. If your coaching was great then refunds would not be an issue as they would be so rarely required. Turning up on time as agreed for coaching sessions is one of the things i judge a coach by, my time is valuable too why would i want to waste it hanging around for some guy who never bothered to show up as he was out partying the night before.

I also have to wonder with all those other character flaws if you really would be that good a coach anyway, if you can't refund a small amount of money i find it hard to believe you are winning at a high rate in any reasonable sized games.

I will certainly not be requiring your services as it sounds like you have a fair bit of growing up to do.
