Hi folks! Another late night update from your correspondent with one foot in the dark side (Linux). I recently E-bayed a more powerful CPU. (AMD FX6300). Teenage game-boys will not regard this with any awe, but it is a very powerful chip. I also have 16Gb of fast RAM. On MSWindows 10, the Unibet client runs acceptably well. But then so do most graphics-intensive and demanding games. In a VM, Unibet still demands at least 50% of whatever is thrown at it. Which is frankly, hilarious. Or bloody annoying, depending on your POV. I have however, got the Unibet client to run under WINE in openSuse Linux. Which should avoid any overheads demanded by MS Windows. But.... But The client is still demanding 50% at least of the new chip, even when the PC has no significant other demands. The client runs slowly, so that when trying to actually play poker, the same problems arise, ie when having a think about a hand, deciding an action, that action takes a while to be presented to the client = (lag). This makes it unusable; (more or less, I had a nice day at PLO whilst experimenting!).. I wish I were more expert at this sort of thing, so I could find out why exactly the Unibet client is so uniquely horrible, slow, and demanding. Would it be possible, Andrew, to ask the Eminent Eggheads, for an .air file that I could use as a native linux client? I notice that an update is imminent, but that the changes show only cosmetic improvements. Surely the Eggs should be working on the SERIOUS issues, rather than fiddling with cosmetics. Putting lipstick on a pig only works in Norfolk (IMHO). Ps I have NOT noticed the crashing/freezing issues reported by other posters on this forum, but I can imagine how screamingly annoying a lock or freeze on the bubble of an MTT would be. If any other linuxers want the 'recipe' shout up here or PM (It is not at all complicated)

just a suggestion about a major challenge:
"Reach a river when it comes Ace of spades" 0/5 - I think it's way too hard, and maybe would function better if it would require flopping A, in greater number.

I like Unibet, but the whole challenge stuff is horrible...

When I see at the end of a quarter it's too difficult to reach the next 10k points I simply don't play any more... Just put it back like it was when Unibet was with microgaming, with the bronze, silver & gold status stuff... was way better in my opinion!

I like the challenges, a few of them I always reject because of the variance(flop TJQ I hate).

I agree that once the gap gets bigger between rewards you can lose motivation to carry on especially if you get stuck on a challenge. When this happens though I tend to play MTTs and sngs more just to get the points moving.

Andrew have you considered having 2 challenge ladders that you can choose from at the beginning of the quarter?

Maybe with one ladder the same as now and a second ladder that unlocks rewards every 1000 points but is less rakeback overall,I think this would keep more casual players playing as they would always be close to unlocking the next reward.
