The aim of the site is to keep new players alive for longer. I don't mind if it takes people a few hands to recognise who is new - that's a few more hands than those new players would have had before. If someone gets to play 40 hands from their first €10 deposit instead of 20, that's a good result.

People don't go to the trouble of making a bot to do this. New accounts get a €10 NL4 ticket, this was someone losing his. Some people just do it for fun - remember that Unibet is primarily a casino and sportsbook. Some people do it for fraud. I've asked the fraud department to have a look, but I've come across this quite a few times.

I agree that this prize is pretty crappy. We just went with what was normal in the sportsbook, but sportsbook works differently to poker. I think the prizedrop promo works, but we can do it a lot better next time. I think we'll do it again in six months or so, and this is one of the things we'll tweak.

We don't say when the prize has been won as it'd kind of defeat the purpose - I want people to stream when they can, and to watch when they can. Maybe I shouldn't have restricted it to evenings though.

The logic is to pay out what people bought in with - I just copied it from PokerStars. The idea is to keep both the money and the players within the system. If we just paid out to one place I think that the next two are more likely to drop out of the satellite system.

Sorry, I'm only exchanging pending bonuses that people got from the top end of the loyalty scheme last quarter as I messed it up a bit and made it possible for people to have more pending than they could clear before earning others.

The tournament monitors didn't show any more disconnections than normal, and the network monitors didn't either.

Essentially, I'm not sure what's happening here. It's not widespread but I think that when something happens to people they post about it on 2 + 2 and mail support. We had no more complaints to support than we normally do about disconnections though.

It isn't normal for Unibet. If you're getting it consistently, it's going to be on your side. Whether that's network problems on your end or CPU lag I can't really tell. But if you're getting it all the time it's almost certainly CPU lag. If you open the task manager and look at details, it'll say how much the CPU consumption is.

It's definitely the biggest problem with the client, but there isn't a lot we can do about it I'm afraid. It should go faster if you raise the process priority in task manager, if you close other programs, and if you keep the lobby in the foreground instead of the background.

This is the problem though - we can't tell if we do have software problems. We had the tourney monitor crashing last week, and we've had a few minutes of network spikes since, but it's nothing widespread otherwise.

The problem right now is that I can't tell when it's CPU lag for someone or whether we have other problems. It's natural that sometimes there're problems for some people connecting to us, and it happens without there being a problem on our side. Often it's on the player's side or it's somewhere between us and them. Sometimes it'll mean one site works and another doesn't - our servers are in Malta, but perhaps the other site is in IOM. The traffic will take different routes.

If you get disconnections when the client doesn't respond and then suddenly does 50 things at once and catches up with all your clicks - that's CPU lag. If it goes unresponsive for a while and say that it's disconnected, that can be CPU lag too.

Well, I know where we are with gross income and with what we call net, but that doesn't include stuff like staff costs, office rental, external marketing, all that kind of stuff. It just includes what we spend directly in the poker client.

We lost money (or made basically nothing) the first month or so, but that was on purpose. We needed to migrate as many players as we could from MGS, which worked well - we had more actives in March '14 when we migrated than we did in March '13, let alone Feb '14.

My aim is to stay at around March '15 levels until Sep. Most of our growth last year came from Oct onwards and I aim to do the same thing this year. Last year we grew 65% since launch and in an ideal world I'd like to do that again this year.

Nobody internally is complaining with how we're doing, in fact people are pretty excited. Of course, amongst other things, my job is to make them more excited, so let's see how the next six months go.

This sounds sensible to me but I think in a few months we'll build a bonus shop that'll reduce this kind of problem. I've been talking about a bonus shop forever though, so...

PS have steps tournaments like this (I think Party may have done it first?) but the problem is that the sharks sit there and wait for a high stakes one to start, then they take all the money. We could probably do it where you can only enter with a ticket, but I'm not sure if we want to split the liquidity like that.

I don't think we can do this because we have to order the hotel rooms in advance. If they aren't filled then we lose the money as far as I understand it.

Sorry, I'm afraid not. There's nothing to stop you from winning a second package and going to a later UO too though.

Btw if you get a second sat ticket: usually the payout is as many tickets to the next tier as the buyins warrant + new tickets for the tier you are in and the first ITM prize is cash, for the €50 sats it was €40.

I know there're upsides, but it'd be a huge, huge job. There're a lot of licensing implications too, not to mention fraud and security implications. It's one of those things that'd be nice to have but is just going to be too much work to get. It'd be site-wide too (the cashier system is "global" within Unibet) which means it'd be a major project for the whole company rather than just poker. That makes it basically impossible for me to get done, sorry.

Yeh, I hope so. I've worked in the poker industry for 13 years now (if you count playing for a living for 3), and I'd quite like there to still be a poker industry in 13 more years. The problem is that almost everyone's declining. I consider this job to be a gamble where the positive outcome is a site that still works well in 2015, instead of a site that works well in 2005 like almost everyone else has.

It looks like the mission isn't counting the centroll as a UO satellite. It may be that it requires it to be a €1 entry or more. The text doesn't say that though, so there's a mistake somewhere on our part. I manually credited you with that mission step.

And yeh, I agree on table balancing. I think it isn't splitting tables in some circumstances that it should. We're investigating.

I think this is because the Android version can't handle playing two tables at a time. I don't think there's a lot we can do about it. In the relatively near future we'll have multi-tabling on tablet though.

Yeh, we had the right version before, but this quarter it looks like someone copy/pasted something wrong in. It gives you points based on it requiring an ace high straight, so you didn't lose out per se. But for pointing out our mistake, I credited you with the 9,895 points you'd have earnt for completing the Challenge.

Firstly, there shoud be three options instead of two, they should be selectable, though in this case they were inactive. Secondly, this happened (if I remember correctly) when I played multi table cash games and was either sat out from all of the tables automatically and then rejoined immediately or I selected to leave on BB at one of the tables. I am also pretty sure that this bug happened only at that table you saw in a screenshot

Hi Andrew, I misused the word overlay. Prize pool exceeded the guarantee of €50 ticket. The remainder was paid in €10 and €2 tickets. I can just about understand doing that to the ubo although it does not need it as it seems successful on its own merit. I may be wrong but the €50 qualifier does not have a €2 qualifier.
Please exchange all €1 tickets to 4 and 2 ubo tickets please.
