I really can't see why this topic has such a spot in your heart that you feel the need to reply with snide comments to someone trying to do their job, a good job, by addressing why the site is the way it is.
If u want to play on reg infested sites sure, do so, there's plenty out there. (Although options are limited to you in the US).
I was correcting his misinformation about the stox scandal. In one ear, out the other, and I'm certainly not going to write out EV calculations for how situations can be used to mitigate variance and the sample size it would take to prove it with a high degree of confidence since he didn't read all of Noah's posts, so I doubt he would read mine.

He said "we know what to look for" and wants that to be that without elaborating. Fortunately, people able to collude as successfully as stox did are very rare, so they'll pick up on the typical moron that thinks sharing holecards equals an immediate advantage, very easily.

Most colluders collude because they suck at poker and wind up losing more because they misuse the additional information, so there's not a whole lot to worry about, but with no hand histories, your suspicions will take longer to develop before you can make a report for the site to investigate. Being that a lot of you guys don't like the Stars regs, hudbots and whatever cool names you guys come up with for guys that studied the game seriously, then this tradeoff is most likely advantageous for you.

Maybe he's a good rep, helpful to you regs etc., but you can tell he's a rep and doesn't have a ton of serious poker experience (which is fine; his job is to lasso new players to the site and not discuss Nash equilibrium push/shove). His assertion that PTR data from at least 3 years ago indicates that Uni has the highest proportion of winners than most other sites, should clue one in. 3 years is a long time in online poker in terms of evolution. He said it's because new players last longer. The biggest winners AND the longest lasting fish? Mind blown.

Anyway, I'll exit your thread now. Sorry... I didn't mean to cause a disturbance nor be called a troll. Good luck at the tables guys, and good luck with the growth of the site, Andrew.

No, you're just not reading my posts.

I played for a living for 3 years. And for what it's worth, I have a lot more posts here than you do.

I said something different - I said MORE, not bigger.

So yes. On the basis that you aren't reading what I write and you're sticking to trolling while saying you aren't, I think it's best we leave it there.

You are amazing, Andrew. How long have you been working in PR?

If you think those comments are trolling, then the same could be said for you calling me a troll and then saying you did so because it's more effective than acting like a professional representative for your company.

Post count isn't worth anything, but did you know that 2+2 was hacked in 2012 and the site was down for 3 weeks? http://www.twoplustwo.com/ForumAlert.php

Those of us with email addresses from 2002 who didn't still have the same email address had to start new accounts because verification was being sent via registered email addresses.

The only valid email I was able to find attached to a 2+2 account was this one, Land O Lakes, that I made as a joke account for the Crimson Challenge back in 2005 because a poster ate a pound of butter for a prop bet. It had one post until the hacking.

I've been supporting a family of 4 since 2002, which is why I'd never play for significant stakes on a site that does not have hand histories (unless it was HU).

I meant bigger as in bigger number of winners. It should have been obvious when I said: "His assertion that PTR data from at least 3 years ago indicates that Uni has the highest proportion of winners than most other sites"

Pathetic announcing exit of thread and still F5 like crazy.

You are a fine example why we miss US players in online poker.

When I post to a thread it automatically subscribes me, so replies show up in my user control panel. I was actually being sincere when I wished you all good luck, but w/e.

Why am I a fine example of why you miss US players?

Sure, I agree - I've been replying to him why his concerns aren't as all-important as he thinks they are.

Sorry, it's just for the freerolls. There's one on Apr 4th and one on Apr 12th, both at 19:00 CET. They award 3 packages each. I guess we could have done it so that there was one every ~2 weeks that awarded one each, but I'm not sure I like that kind of winner-takes-all satellite.

This is a site-wide thing - could you ask support instead please? I'm only posting about poker-specific stuff.

Sure, done, kind of. I can't reinstate a bonus that's already expired, but I can credit a new one. It's more valuable at the start than at the end so this ought to work out better for you anyway.

- Fixed an issue making it impossible to scroll the prize structure in the specific tournament lobby
- Fixed an issue causing completed Challenges sometimes not to be reflected by green rectangle in the Challenges overlay

Web and iPad will also now support missions. We're waiting for Apple to approve the iPad update though so I'm not sure on the ETA. The last version has been awaiting approval for more than a month now. iPad will also now support MTT (the one awaiting approval does too).

Android will be a bit after the Jan 28th release but not sure when yet.

Feb mission: This is mostly a mid-volume cash game promo

Feb SNG promo: We'll have an SNG promo based on playing a small number of SNG for lots of days

Feb MTT promo: We're going to do MTT leagues where points are awarded for finishes, with a relatively low ceiling of number of MTT required

NL1000: As the release notes say, we will have NL1000 on each Friday from the 30th of Jan to the end of Feb. We will use this to test if/how much the game affects NL400 and player lifetimes etc.

There'll also be an iPad freeroll and a €1 UO direct satellite in Feb.

Where's the tournament information gone? It seems like you can't change between dealer chat and the other option anymore.

Sorry, I forgot to reply to this for some reason. There isn't anything public. I think it's more fun if I don't release it...

Thanks, we're investigating.

On an unrelated note, hopefully we'll have an update to the iPad app soon too. It supports MTTs. It's actually been in Apple's queue for more than a month now (they need to approve all the apps), but now it's had a status update so should be soon.

How do I remove this?
[Unibet] Official Thread Quote

The casino widget was always meant to be there - we removed it for milestone hands and it was accidentally not turned back on when milestones ended. There isn't an option to remove it.

Poker was failing for several years at Unibet (and at most companies). A big part of the reason that Unibet decided to risk investing quite heavily into poker for the re-launch was that it's a valuable product to cross-sell into the other things we do. Therefore it's quite politically important to have things like the casino widget.

Downloaded new software client and it wouldn't let me use the cash tickets. First one opened a blank table and notification of "technical error" after a while. Second was "buy in timed out" ... the usual pop up to select the buy in never appeared on either one.

It looks like the site has broken at the moment, we've reported it.

We added an update to SNG that lets you tab between dealer chat and upcoming blind levels. It looks like this has broken a similar feature in MTT, and this slipped past QA. Sorry about that - it'll be fixed in the next release.

Alright, thanks for the answer. May I suggest you get a choice between a sportsbet widget instead of the casino widget then. Upcoming games in the widget would probably give you guys some betting action.

Looks like site problems were for just 5 minutes - I believe it's OK now (downside of realtime updates is maybe I'll correct myself again next post...)

Yes. We're talking about doing that but it depends on how we can do it without slowing the rest of the client down. We're also talking about how we can use it for just poker, and perhaps rotate between the options.

A sportsbetting widget would be nice i sometimes bet on sports so alternating between sportsbetting and casino might be a good thing to crossell players

We've been talking about using the banner that runs along the bottom the lobby but I think it'd end up costing too many CPU resources. We're looking into it anyway, but I imagine it's a couple of months away at best.

On an unrelated point: Apple approved the latest iPad version. It supports MTT and missions and should be available now.

If anyone's used the iPad app, could you rate it please in the app store? I am obviously fine if you post an honest rating of what you think of it: it's helpful to just have a higher number of ratings.

I want to say one last thing about the rakerace this month ( sorry ;o ) If you look at the leaderboards of the lowstakes race and the highstakes race you can cleary see that the low stakes race just attracts a crapload of rakebackgrinders. If you compare the points of the top 200 of low and highstakes race you can see that lowstakes rakeraces just are bad for the games imo

I understand it prolly generates alot of rake and revenue for unibet but i think it harms games in the long run.
