Hi everyone, I’m Jamie, the founder of Sweetstakes, a new sweepstakes-based poker platform. We’re almost ready to open the doors, and I’m looking for a small group of beta testers to help us kick the tires before launch.

What you’ll get:
🎮 Early access to the app (PC now, VR coming soon)
💸 Some free SOL to test the platform with
🎁 Bonus Gold Coins + Sweeps Coins for trying out the tables
🧢 Free merch (hoodies, t-shirts, mugs, caps) for active testers

What we’re testing:
- Bot protection (only real players at the tables)
- Voice chat (make games feel like live poker)
- Custom environments (play in the White House, Japanese gardens, mansions, even alien planets)
- Creator Rewards Program (earn rewards automatically when you host active rooms). Here's approximately how much you get per 6-max room, per hour. It's free, you can create as many as you want:

Stakes (NLHE) | Estimated Hourly Bonus
2NL (0.01/0.02) | $0.54
5NL (0.02/0.05) | $1.35
10NL (0.05/0.10) | $2.73
25NL (0.10/0.25) | $6.63
50NL (0.25/0.50) | $13.50
100NL (0.50/1.00) | $25.65
200NL (1/2) | $40.50
500NL (2/5) | $83.65
1000NL (5/10) | $141.00

👉 If you’re interested, drop a comment below or DM me. I’ll set you up with your tester bonuses.

Good luck, but this isn't going to last when California is about to ban sweepstakes and over a dozen states are already pulling out.

Given the growing number of states banning this format the launch timing is... interesting...

I hear you — the legal landscape around sweepstakes is definitely evolving, especially in places like California. That’s exactly why we’re building Sweetstakes to be flexible. Our model is designed to adapt quickly to regulatory changes, and we’re already exploring additional licensing options in the U.S. and EU so we’re not relying on just one framework.
For now, sweepstakes still works in the majority of states, and we see this as an opportunity to build responsibly while preparing for a broader, licensed rollout. The goal isn’t just to be another sweepstakes app — it’s to create a long-term platform for creators and players that can thrive under different regulatory models.

How is sweetsstakes poker going to operate in California after the sweeps sites ban? Me and my MANY friends that play online poker on Global Poker/ sweeps sites will need a new place to play after global moves out of California. Will sweetstakes poker be available in cali after the sweepstakes ban in cali?

any sign up bonus/ vip programs, rakeback, or referral bonuses? I can bring in many players to your site if its half way decent/ isnt scammy.

Right now, California is tricky. If the proposed sweepstakes ban goes through, sites like Global Poker will likely have to exit. We’re preparing for that by looking at two paths:
1. Making sure Sweetstakes is fully available everywhere it’s legal in the U.S. today.
2. Building out alternative licensing options (U.S. and international) so we’re not boxed in by sweepstakes law changes in a single state.

Can you only use this on windows, no mac download?

How are you justifying 1sc for AMOE when postage and materials cost MINIMUM $.79c? If youre sued by the states/govt/or individual that this is unduly burdensome what is your argument and how did your legal team tell you this was ok?

A lot of sites may be exiting California soon, but we’re building Sweetstakes with flexibility in mind. Our goal is to give California poker players stability, whether through sweepstakes or through alternative licensing if laws shift.

Right now the beta client is Windows only — that’s just a limitation of our early build. A Mac version is on the roadmap and will be available soon. In the meantime, some Mac testers have been using workarounds (Parallels/Boot Camp/VMs), but we want to deliver a proper native build.

On AMOE: We’ve structured it in line with how other sweepstakes-based operators run their free entry processes. The 1 SC per request system isn’t meant to mirror the dollar value of postage, it’s meant to provide a clear, accessible, no-purchase-required entry path that satisfies sweepstakes laws. Our legal advisors reviewed the process and are comfortable that it meets the standard of “reasonably available” — the key test under U.S. promotional sweepstakes law.

We’re also keeping the system under review — if the regulatory environment shifts, we’ll adapt to stay compliant.

Regarding referral bonuses - we're focusing on finding partners that have player bases and offering Creator Rewards Program to them. If you would like to consider joining us as an early creator partner, feel free to reach out

if you only give 1sc and it costs minimum .79c to send in the request then that is going to be construed as unduly burdensome by the courts. I can sue you if you want to defend it in court but im positive the ftc will sue you first to change it or just cease and desist the entire site.

there are NO other licensing avenues for online gaming in the united states. literally there are no licenses you can apply for or get to operate gaming online intra state. Tell me more what your plans are so i can build my lawsuit against you.

I want to clarify something here. It’s true that there isn’t a federal license you can apply for to operate online gambling nationwide in the U.S., but there are state-level licensing frameworks. For example, New Jersey, Nevada, Michigan, and Pennsylvania all issue licenses for regulated online poker and casino operators.

On the AMOE: I see your point that a mail-in system that’s too limited could be challenged as “unduly burdensome.” We’ve already made adjustments to better align with accepted sweepstakes practices, ensuring that free entry remains a clear and accessible path for players.

Can you explain what the estimated hourly bonus is or how it was calculated?

Our formula for Creator Rewards points is based on few variables, including: valid hands played, unique active players and length of the session. The value derived from the calculation is then converted into Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins.

While the exact formula is proprietary, the idea is straightforward — more active players and engagement means higher rewards.

If you'd like to know more, feel free to reach out, I'd be happy to help and answer any questions you have

No worries
We're using sweepstakes framework and are focusing on USA market right now. We have plans to expand to UK/Europe later on, but right now we're in North American region only

@jaime sweepstakes... so there is no way to sign up other than downloading the software in order to create an account? seems a little iffy, and not sure many folks are going to want to do it. Why is there no way to simply sign up on the website?
[Sweetstakes] Official thread Quote
09-18-2025 , 04:21 PM
That’s a good point and I get the hesitation. Right now, during beta, the account creation is built directly into the software because it’s tied to how our rooms and wallets are set up. It keeps everything secure and lets us test the system end-to-end before we add web sign-ups.
We do plan to roll out web-based sign-up soon so people can create an account through the site and then download the client only if they want to play. For now, the download is just a temporary step while we finish testing.
Totally understand the concern — we’re working to make the onboarding smoother as we move out of beta.

Excited to try out the voice chat feature, sounds amazing. whenever the site is available for download via an official website I'll definitely check it out, likely after beta is over

We're still setting a few things up, but you'll be able to play with other players really soon. From there, we'll be rolling out updates continuously based on feedback - the goal is to keep improving the experience week by week. I'd actually love to hear what you'd like to see on the platform, early input is very important and helps us shape the direction
