yes ppl have reported checks bouncing. its basically just "**** happens", i don think many ppl want a discussion of poker payment processing here. you get a scan of the check, send it to the site, they refund the money and cut you another one.

no fees for CAD checks in USD. you wont (shouldnt) get specific bank recommendations here. use a big, multinational bank, and read through this thread to see specific banks ppl have had issues with lately.

So I understand that this site sends out checks in batches. And your wait time depends on when they send a batch out. Has anyone been lucky enough to have there request processed the next day after requesting? And is this possible?

Yes & yes. Not often, but has happened.

Because a lot of money is going to be leaving the site as quickly as possible. And the payment processor is going to be overwhelmed with requests for cashouts.

Hi Gucci - As you can read in my previous posts, I went through the same thing at "SCHMEE-EN-SCHMEE" and it finally went through. I talked to my friend who is a bank manager at another major name bank and he said it's typically up to that specific branch whether or not they send it to collections. I took my next check 3 weeks later to the branch that I normally go to (and normally deposit poker checks) and it went through right away and before the one that went to collections. It took a long time.. probably close to 8 weeks.

I would try a different branch next time (maybe one with the same zip code as your home address or your "home" branch) and make sure you mention that it's in USD as that may make a difference.

that's not true. less than a year ago times were 3+ weeks iirc. then the wait gradually became shorter and shorter, until the point where a month ago ppl were stressing about not getting their check in a week.

it goes in cycles. the times lately are still much quicker than the estimated times the site tells you.

Does anyone have experience with stop payments? I received a check for $565, and my girlfriend accidentally destroyed it in the wash. The customer service rep said it will cost around $250 for a stop payment. Obviously this is excessive and I am wondering if there is any way around this (almost 50% of the value of the check to replace it, really?).

At my bank a stop payment is $20. They're just trying to rip you off.
