Couple of questions:

-I wasn't aware checks could be sent to a PO box. How are you guys setting this up? When I look at my cashier page it says that checks can only be sent to my billing address, not a separate mailing address. Do you need to send verification documents for the PO box? Or can you just change your address to pretty much any address and they'll send checks there?

-I do not have Western Union as a withdrawal option on my account. However, I have never made a deposit with WU either.
My question is: would I ONLY have WU as a withdrawal option if I have used it to deposit? Or is the decision of whether a player has WU as a withdrawal option independent of whether that player has used WU to deposit?
Basically trying to figure out if the WU withdrawal option will become available to me if I make a deposit with WU.

Also when i recieved my wire it took about 2 weeks. It was missing about 120$.... they said it's because of conversion rate from the UK where the bank wire came from. So they credited my account and sent me a check to my Canadian address and finally i deposited into my account and it cleared fine. So it might be easier if you just tell them to send a check to your Canadian address.
Whoa I just saw this... this is really interesting. So you moved and changed your address to Canada, and were then given the bankwire option, but were able to send a wire to your US bank? This means that one wouldn't necessarily need to open a Canadian bank account to withdraw using bankwires, correct?

Did you need to send verification documents for the US bank account? I'm assuming you needed to send them to change your address to Canada, but was there then any problem with your address being in Canada but wiring the withdrawal to a US bank?

Thx for all the info, this is encouraging news.

My billing address was with a po box, so it sent to there by default.

I appreciate how frequently you've been helping this thread. Could you clarify if the 21 day period was after your check was processed & mailed or if it was 21 days to process, mail, and arrive in the mail.

I'm at the point with the rep where they were considering recommending that they send another check (no fee). So i'm weighing my options at the moment.
1. Wait another 8-10 days then ask for a new check to be sent
2. Ask for another check to be sent now
3. Pay a $250 fee and get the cash back in my carbon account.

I think this thread has shown that you will get paid out, although it may take 1-3 weeks.

You just have to change your address to a Canadian address. I opened a bank account here and sent them my bank statement and once they changed my poker account to a Canadian account they gave me the bankwire option. Like I said though they shorted me about 125$ when they wired me the funds. It's really easy to open a bank account in Canada, you can use all your American ID's and stuff to open a bank account here.

You absolutely WILL get paid, just don't expect the speed you get with a site like PokerStars.

No information requested by the teller; no information voluntarily provided.

Question: Given the type of account the check was drawn on, what plausible defense can one give if a question does come if the bank decided to review the transaction?

Standard response is that you do Internet Consulting work (nice and vague, huh?) for a company outside of the U.S. You do the work from home and this is how they pay you. Do not get into specifics or details. If they press for more (which they almost never will) just say that you aren't at liberty to discuss any more details, as it would violate the confidentiality agreement you have with your "employer." P.S. once you drive away make sure to do an evil laugh---Mwu hah ha ha mwa ha he ho.!!

Nice! Much obliged. My former profession was in programming so it's even more plausible!
