Some juicy action happening at 10nl currently, but when it's been 8 weeks since a check request and nothing still, u start to wonder if you're playing for monopoly $.

Once the 4nl players lose all of their money at the 10nl games, I don't see why they would bother redepositing on Merge when they can go to another site and play 4nl.

Also Merge just lowered their redeposit bonus' and made them more difficult to clear. Not such great timing to do that.

To counter the rake, players generally have to play a little tighter. If the other players play loose, that's great. But it's not in my interest to play loose in a high rake environment.

The problem with the idea of raising the small blind to create action is that it doesn't only force other players to give more action, it also forces me to give more action with mediocre hands. Having essentially 2 Big Blinds in a 6 max game forces me to pay more rake. It's a little like turning the game into a turbo format. That's fine if they lower the rake a little to compensate but that hasn't happened. Unlike the rest of us, I'm sure that Kahn gets great rakeback. But beating these games without rakeback, I think, is going to be a little tougher for the rest of us.
SantaCruz as usual making all the sense in the world.

I get creating a 2/3 blind structure for games like 3/6 and 15/30, but for stakes with even numbers to begin with, forcing the blinds into an odd ratio just seems like a joke. When I saw 4/8 with a 3/4 blind structure, I just rolled my eyes and opened a 2/4 table thinking, what are the blinds here, $1.50/$2.00? And it is!

What a joke. I had actually considered trying Merge out again for old time's sake because Bovada had been kicking my ass lately and I was excited for their new Grand Prix promo, but now I'm definitely not. Their stakes had been a staple for so many years. I do not understand why they are messing with the formula yet again.

i dont play limit, but was looking for understanding with post i quoted.

if before the blind changes, weak players were playing too many hands from the sb, how does the altered blind structure change the ev of the weaker players in a strictly post flop game from the small blind position? the hand ranges of people playing to many hands from the sb before the new blinds hasnt changed. right? maybe? prob not?

All hands will have a flop so total rake will go up, that's clearly bad. It's unclear to me whether win rate of good players will increase.

I think what bravos is saying is that some players play too loosely from the small blind simply because they've already put some money in.

Now that a larger amount is put in for them, it is now correct for them to see a flop whereas before it wasn't.

LHE more than NLHE is, in part, about small edges and pot odds. So small differences can make a difference, in the long run, in how hands are played.

I'm in a similar situation.

The skrill timeframe is 7-10 business days. They're based in Costa Rica, which has had 4 public holidays in the last 2 weeks, so we're still within the timeframe if we don't count those. Hopefully that's the reason for the delay.

not sure, I joined 1.5 years ago when looking for a US room and have been disappointed with the traffic levels but still had my initial buyin so just kept messing with it. I'm a casual breakeven player so my buyins last awhile. I slowly feed the sharks lol.

Whats best room for US players right now?

Bovada is the best in the u.s.
-biggest player pool
-anonymous screennames
-very fast cashouts
-very soft player strength wise

Wpn:
- rakeback
- More regs
-fast cashouts

Chico:
-very soft
Pretty fast cashouts
-no hud

I prefer WPN to Bovada. Bovada's has a lot of rec players but it seems that more and more regs are playing there lately. For those interested in the micro cash games, Bovada has 5nl but WPN has both 2nl and 5nl. Also WPN has much better support here on 2+2 and has several fast cashout options (checks, p2p transfers, debit cards and bitcoin).

Whether or not players like anonymous tables or not is a personal choice. I think that those who like anonymous tables should probably play on Bovada and those who don't should play on WPN.
