Is this to imply that US players can in fact recieve bank wires? They told me it was not an option to US players.

Most of the time they have no idea what they are talking about. Back before I was restricted and banned, they told me just to get a new bank account and they'll wire it right to me. Go out of my way to get one, next day I give them the info, they come back and tell me a few days later they don't do wires to anyone anymore(obvious lie as I knew others with them.)

Their support is often wrong/lying/has no idea.

To be fair, Americans had a head start with exposure and gained interest from WPT on travel channel, WSOP on ESPN, Poker After Dark, HS Poker, etc. etc..

Let's be honest, Americans as a whole are pretty dumb. Over 35% can't even keep a healthy weight, and 50+million voted Bush into office not once, but twice, whatever the tv tells them is what they believe.I've read the the social security problem will be solved because of obesity, the fatties won't live long enough to collect.

for the Grand Prix promo coming up in March, does it only apply to holdem games? PLO doesnt count?

they need to add PLO if thats the case!

That, or it was rigged. Which, is likely the more plausible scenario.

I agree the 2nd one was possibly rigged, but it shouldn't have even been close enough for florida to make a difference.

Guess that's why a lot of regs re-entered multiple times. Saw one fire seven bullets. Have mercy.

im not surprised. i made a decent run, think i finished 25th or something similar. Basically theres just very little play once you get deep.

Average low level turbo grinder. Turbo- 5000 chips/5 min levels. Mega stack- 15,000 chips/10 min levels. Breath of fresh air. Nuff said.

My point was, just a breath of fresh air to be able to play early as opposed to grinding turbos. I like it and hope they run them several times a year. Just sayin...

Its the same in live mtt's- recs will complain about the starting stack in say a 1500 wsop (4500 starting stack) that has a good structure deep but will instead play a $235 "deepstack" that has 15k starting but avg stack is 10bb in the last few tables. Funny how excited people get to play 1000 bb's deep at 50-100 and ignore the gameplay where it matters.

This is 1 low level mtt rec that left his comfort zone to fire 2 bullets in a $33 mega w/o sattying in like I usually do. Why? Cause 15,000 chips/10 min levels as opposed to 5000 chips/5 min level turbos. I get a lot more play in this format than turbos. A lot more. So I'll give up my comfort level for that. And the mega beats a 5000/12 min level imo. Sure beats this $5 rebuy turbo I was playing, where the starting stack & rebuys were lowered from 2000 to 1500 chips. Added pressure with even less room to play. C'est la vie.

The Bad Beat Jackpot was changed to quad eights or better a few weeks ago. If memory serves me (Carbon never announces changes of this kind), it was quad deuces or better before. The jackpot is currently above 1K.

Quad 8s is the standard at most sites. Given how much longer it takes to hit, perhaps they are hoping to turn the BBJ into a marketing ploy like it is at most sites. (i.e. when the rarely hit jackpot is hit, it is large enough to be advertised and attract new deg... players)

I agree, but they should send out emails to us cash players, saying the BBJ is over 1K now, etc. It used to hit twice a day, no fun at all. Now that it hits once a week it is much more entertaining for us degens.

Tell your friends, since they don't promote it, lol.

Another suggestion, by no means original.

Instead of having a banner come up saying "congratulations, so and so won the bad beat jackpot", say "so and so won $458 at 5/10c, the pot winner won 229, everyone else at the table won $57.25" The BBJ continues to grow from the reseeded amount of ....

While I am on the subject; for approximately the last 2 and a half months, I would get widely spaced, very brief disconnections of the software. I would get a "software automatically reconnecting" message. Approximately four days ago, after at least two software upgrades, this has stopped.

Because others have reported similar issues, I am sharing. Your mileage may vary.
