Bug:

Waiting lists are not working. You get an erroneous insufficient balance message when trying to join a table. You can still join a table by opening it and clicking on an open seat. Players Only Chat told me to re-install software, I have not done this and doubt it is a solution.

Bug or change:

You can no longer choose the minimum number of players to sit with on waiting lists.

Change:

There is a new "Players Details" feature you can access by right clicking. You can add notes which then places a paper clip on villains icon. Notes can be read by mouse pointer hovering rather than clicking.

Bug or change:

While "Player Details" shows a playerbox color variable, the default black color cannot be changed. I cannot confirm but apparently prior colors are gone.

paperclip not new. playerbox colors were handy/ also not being able to see player names registered in SNGs is not helpful. i'd prefer to know which idiots i'll be playing. i just wish they could control themselves and stop making changes. every time they do they seem to make it worse

Yeah, was referring to paperclip notes. Not a fan of color coding being removed.

Just checked out the SNG's, seems kind of odd, but I don't play the games so not sure if it hurts or helps.

Well this update pretty much proves that the inmates are still running the asylum at Merge. I assume that these changes were made to make it harder for good players to play against bad players. But then they get rid of the minimum number of players selection when joining a waiting list, which forces players to play heads-up and shorthanded, which is about the fastest way for bad players to lose their money. That's insane.

i think hiding the names of registered players in SnGs is a pretty creative first step to compete with Bovada and their anonymous names for casual players who just want to sit down and play poker.

any1 expect something similar with cash games? maybe they show how many tables per stake are running but u can only click "join game" and it seats you. if you quit before a full orbit because of game selection you can't be seated again for another 20 minutes.

I don't think that Bovada is really their main competitor since Bovada has such a different operation based on bringing in international players. I think that WPN is their major competitor. WPN is succeeding by listening to their players whereas Merge is making it as hard as they can for all of their players to play.

If it's true that they've implemented a 20 minute wait, that's just going to drive away a lot of action from the cash tables. Because of all the self-inflicted wounds Merge has made over the past year or so, they don't have the player pool to throw roadblocks in the way of players trying to seat themselves.

Hiding the registered names in SNGs is so fkn stupid. If I want to play on Bovada, I'll play there. JFC merge, can you please for one time in your life get something right?

I'd be fine with that as long as it never went anonymous. Maybe they will integrate the Sportsbook side back in.

What an awful update. How much of this is mistakes? Obviously the insufficient funds is an error, but are they making us unable to select number of players for good? If so, just wow.

I sure as hell hope so. Taking it away is just... dumb. And if the SNG anonymity is a preview of coming attractions for the cash game tables I'll be pulling my money out with the quickness. If I wanted to play on Bovada's anonymous tables I would already be there. C'mon Merge, get your act together.

It's not a mistake they listed these things on their list of changes.

If Merge intends to compete with Bovada playing by Bovada's rules, Merge is going to lose big time.

Each update fixes some bugs but brings some new ones!

I liked this update. I think not listing player names can only help sitngos. Regs wont be identified as easy, and fish wont get targeted. I think you will have more players starting games aswell. Ive always had anxiety problems and thats why i dont start as many games and tendto register after a few have already reg. -not sure if anybody else can relate. ive never used HUDs or color coding, so that dont bother me. Ive done good with out one. Just dont go fully anonymous please becuase I do recognize names and enjoy playing with them.

I can think of a bunch of reasons being anonymous pre start would be good for the game. How would this be bad? as long as were not anonymous at the table.

I don't think anyone is complaining about the change making SNG's anonymous, most of the complaints were directed at the cash game changes.
