Everyone be aware that if you win too much on Pokerhost, they may shut down your account! I'm sure it's been discussed here but it happened to me a couple of months ago. Carbon is fining host for having winning players on their skin, so host responded by simply shutting down winning accounts.

You are correct, it doesn't work for live tracking.

Anyone else having some serious lag on carbon atm?

For the cash games go where the rake is reasonable and the players are plentiful. There's only one choice then. Anonymous tables are better for players like you also. You can't play micro ring games on Merge anymore because the rake makes it unbeatable long term. Also, no sense in rewarding a site like Merge that just gave all their players a big F you, we could care less what you like or think, take it or leave it. Most have said fine and left. Number of games and players are way way down in ring games now. Not worth playing there now IMO. Go to Bovada, it's the only site with players left.

FPDB will import the Bovada hands, you have to name yourself Hero with a cap H, but you are correct that the HUD won't work. The FPDB support thread can help those that need it.

They have some good tournaments though. I go there and play some of the daily tournaments and many actually get bigger then the Carbon/Aced skins. They also have rebuys and tournaments without 4 hour late reg. If I could play more than 4 tables I'd play there more. It sure would be nice if they would combine the player pools and schedules. That'd make too much sense though. Gotta protect the sportsbook fish!

Feel free to refer to the link about 1 page back that takes you to the Merge cashier thread. Checks have been taking about 3 weeks across the board. Smaller cash outs have been converted to Western Union and picked up in a few days. My last check was 19 days total and my current 1 has been pending since 12/5.

Customer support told me mobile play would accumulate VIP program points. Come to find out the points only apply to the deposit bonus. Not VIP level/accumulation

honestly your best bet is multi-siting... intertops, poker host, bovada, and bcp

I'm not sure why anyone would play on Poker Host over Aced/Carbon at this point.

I can't see anything above 3/6 on Carbon poker. I have an old account with quite a bit of profit on it. I've heard rumors they shut out winning accounts from sitting too high - is that true?

they removed stakes above 3/6 in Mar 2013

Carbon only or other merge skins as well?

All of the skins. Though I hear some people can play 5-10 on the Sportsbook side. I wouldn't know, they won't let me play cash there anymore.

And it's not Carbon who shut down winning accounts. Poker Host has and Players Only has. Players Only/ Sportsbook no longer share players with Carbon/Aced/Host, if you didn't know.

That's not a very accurate portrayal of how things went down, and since that one isolated incident affecting ~a dozen accounts of MTT players, no further incidents have taken place. I seriously think that the publicity was so bad for all Merge partners that they understand now that such tactics should never be used again.

That's strange, can anyone else corroborate that? I was under the impression that they did accumulate points.

You can download all of your hand histories, and see EVERYONE'S hole cards at Bovada (24h delay). Thus, if you feel you were cheated, you can easily look into it and report it to security. There are numerous examples on 2+2 of players being refunded for cheating, many without having reported it themselves.

They don't disclose such top secret information. According to them there is some undetermined magical combination of factors that are taken into consideration.

AKA, I wouldn't worry about it. Most the people I know who have gotten it don't even play on Merge anymore.

winning players getting an invite is a huge longshot. Merge is trying to cater to rec players and follow bovadas lead. They will give 35% rb to people who will not only lose their rakeback, but their deposits aswell. Its noway they will give winning players more money aka 35% rb.

The 8/10 people I know who have it are huge winners, they just don't play there anymore. It's like they dangle it out to get you to play a lot and then use it to draw you back in. Like Dube, I was averaging around 40K per month and haven't got an invite.

I don't think they are catering to the recs over the regs, they aren't really catering to anyone. The rewards are bad for the regs, but the structures being horrible for the recs is a much bigger deal.
