What bothers me is that it wouldn't take a ton of drastic changes for them to right the ship and get back on track. They just appear to not be too worried about that, or they are and there's a ton more going on behind scenes that nobody here knows about.

Agreed. There have been parallels made about them being the next lock etc. I think that is far fetched. I was one out of many players that had a lot of money on lock that never saw a dime. When Lock went belly up it was very clear. I think Carbon removing the WU and Bank wire options from the players that had it(myself included) is their way of trying to stop the bleeding and catch up on their backlog of check withdrawals. Definitely doesn't motivate players to continue to play there when they took those options away but hopefully the ones that are still waiting on checks they requested 2 months ago will see their money sooner because of it.

Have bonus rake requirements changed? Didn't it used to be $15 rake for every $1 of bonus? The Bonusmania offer showing in my admin is requiring $20 rake for every $1. And payout in $10 increments instead of $5?

+1. I understand wishing the worst on them due to current payout circumstances but if you like getting paid, you should hope for a very successful OPS.

This makes sense if they are facing money issues.. Otherwise Western Union and their current processor shouldn't have anything to do with each other. Their complete lack of transparency is the most concerning thing

Yea I think it's pretty clear at this point they are having money issues with ROW payout delays and affiliate payout delays. To say it's a processor issue is a garbage statement from them IMO for the simple fact that there aren't processor issues from ROW regulations. We can hope for better transparency but I don't expect to see that improve. Regardless if it's true that they have money issues right now, that's the last thing they would want to tell their customers due to the domino effect it would create from ppl trying to pull their money out all at once.

So I just tried to open and acct on Carbon last night, couldn't get the deposit to go through. Went back today and it's disabled. Got on chat support and they said some other person with my last name had a chargeback and it must be paid before i could have an account! WTF kind of service is that?! Here's the convo for proof.

Whether or not OPS is successful really has no bearing on whether cash outs speed up or not. To think this way is to assume that they are some sort of Ponzi scheme like Lock Poker was.

Years ago I pointed out, before Lock had payment problems, that they were a scam in the making (for which I was endlessly trolled at the time, but hey, what's new right?). I arrived at that conclusion by analyzing Lock's business model and drawing logical conclusions. I've done that with Carbon/Merge and my analysis yields a completely different answer.

There is a ton going on behind the scenes that nobody on 2+2 knows about... at ALL POKER SITES, specially US-friendly sites, which, for obvious reasons, can not share some types of information with the public.

I've never stated nor assumed that Carbon is a Ponzi scheme. In this same thread I've actually said the opposite: to compare Carbon's situation to Lock's is far fetched. When you remove multiple withdrawal options, have delays in both ROW and affiliate payments that regardless of historical data are pretty extensive delays, what other conclusion can you come up with that doesn't involve some sort of financial issues? That by no means is me stating they are a Ponzi scheme. That's me saying they are having financial problems right now and them removing those withdrawal options are an effort to catch up on the backlog.

So in the chat you admit to making another account there. Think that's against their rules....and they never say in the chat you posted how your account is related to the other one in question but you claim it's last name. There is probably another way. Not inclined to believe you are getting screwed when you admit to multi accounting.

They are doing you a favor. Why would anyone want to deposit on carbon right now with all of us not getting paid ?

I know you love carbon and jump to defend them, but waiting over 2 months for a check that might bounce or even take another month to clear is like not getting paid. I play here one deposit a year and this is always happening.

Pokerscout hasn't been tracking Merge for the last couple of weeks for some reason. It might be that Merge is preventing them from doing so because Merge's numbers have been dropping. Once they fell into third place, it was bad advertising.

My posts have been few and far between lately for obvious reasons. But there is a difference between ALL and SOME. Just sayin...

10 weeks..

Transferred my balance at a 5% Vig by wagering $5k on 5dimes on Mets yesterday and made the same bet on Carbon except on the Yankees. So obvious Sabathia was going to get rocked. Now I don't have to wait 10-20 weeks if not more for carbon checks and got almost all my money off the site.
