Seriously. For really reals. No really I have been hiding under the Lock rock where they offer the world, just dont bother to deliver. The reality of the state of the poker world outside that bubble is one I am no longer familiar with so Im playing catchup.

small amounts are easier, faster and cheaper trading in the P2P thread. $50 on a $3K check is less than 2% btw
Thank you for this. I appreciate you posting something useful unlike our sarcastic friend above. Cheers

Yes, this is a standard practice by Intertops. I had to wait roughly 2 months with regular play before being given the player to player transfer option. I would email support or use live chat in a month from now and they should enable it for you if you are playing during that time.

Did anyone else have a ticket to the major? I won one the week of this all happening. I obviously couldn't play it since they took the tournament away. I contacted support and they said they would refund my ticket for cash. Well, they only gave me $125.

When I pushed about why it wasn't the full value of $134, they just said because they weren't refunding the tournament fee portion. I kept telling them that the value of the ticket is $134 and not $125, but they insisted the decision had already been made.

I'm not commenting on "right or wrong" here, just offering a possible explanation. They're probably eating the entire $125 as it is w/o any reimbursement for the unused ticket and at a certain point it just becomes economically unfeasible; even though $9 seems like a pittance in a way, its actually over 7%. If you multiply that out by numerous accounts, it adds up quick on the departamental ledger shall we say.

Whereas its plain to see the argument that the ticket's worth $134, the reality is "was" worth $134 and now is "worth" absolutely nothing (much like Lock dollars technically are worth a dollar, realistically are worth nothing, but can actually be redeemed with a little effort for 20 cents.) They coulda let you keep the ticket you won for you to view, but you still wouldn't be able to actually use it.

I agree completely, I just wish they would tell this to me instead of trying to argue that the "value" is $125.

My other reason for posting was simply to let everyone know they can get their tickets converted to cash.

about a week and half ago I was averaging ~15 husng games/hour, but a few days ago it dropped to 3 games/hours. What happened? Is this due to the segregation of lock tournaments from intertops tournaments, or is this the "fair play technology"? Or both?

FPT is dead. This is a segregation issue.

Hi

I guess it depends on your point of view whether you think the fee amount on a ticket (that would have gone to the issuer anyway) should be reimbursed or not.
We discussed that internally and came to the conclusion that this offer is fair for both us and our clients.
Obviously we are already "eating" the basic ticket values.

If some of you still think it's unfair not to have the fee refunded, please send me a pm.

It's Intertops vs Intertops only now above $20s I believe it is. Intertops did this to protect themselves and any player should welcome the change if they think long and hard about it, even if it means reduced games.

What stakes were your games? I hardly saw any games running $50 and up, for any HU SNG format. I'd take 3 games per hour!

Only a month ago, I was open sitting the $60-$100 hyper husng and easily getting 100+ games/day. Now I am lucky if I get 15 games/day. I didn't realize how many players were coming from lock still.

One of the things I think not really being discussed in these scenarios is the reality that if you're an Itops player playing the $100 husng stakes it costs you $100 (obviously not taking into account rb, etc) and if you're playing a Lock player it costs him only $20. If by some miracle they rebound and actually pay him his cashout...well, one can see where I'm going with this. In short, I'm glad Itops ringed these monkeys out.

Has anyone had trouble with cashing intertops checks through atm? I just tried to cash one from bovada and the atm denied it so had to take the scary trip inside the bank:/

I don't know for sure, but I believe the electronic digits at the bottom of the check are one digit short when a Canadian bank issues it as opposed to a US bank. Wouldn't really worry 'bout it to much. If going inside is scary, simply use the "night droop" or equivalent.

Have to go inside. Can't do drive up either. All branches, banks are different. They don't say anything, just say you have international check and they have to do something a little different. Not sure why we have to go in but we do, I find it weird.
